25.01.2022 I've got to admit, my kids make great little models. I'm grateful for all the amazing shots I get to capture with them wearing our #dustyroadapparel gear. Just recently I've been wondering what I'm going to do when they grow out of it all. Haha just increase the sizing I think. Coming soon, size 5-7 tees and pants. 25.01.2022 So It's a chilly 15 deg day here in #maluabay and raining after yesterday's spring 28degs. Just when I thought we were out of the cold weather it jumps up and bites you in the $%m . Life is busy as always, it's my step dads 80th this weekend, so I've spent the day cleaning up ash and burnt leaves, yes they are still hanging about post fires there's something so nice about washing it away, almost feels like a point of completion to it all. I can't tell you how great it w...as for the mental health to be back at the @moruya_country_markets this last weekend and talking to people again, finally feels like life is moving on again. The comfort of familiarity and friendly faces can not be underestimated. Appreciation for all that we have and those that contribute to our environment is certainly on the forefront of everyone down here. 23.01.2022 I have been the master of many hats these last few weeks, busy in more ways than I would like to point a stick at. I've been wearing my mum hat, my business hat, my helpful tip hat, my community hat, my daughter hat, my sister hat, my friend hat and last but not least my wife hat. As parents we wear so many hats through the week, I find those singular times we connect and reflect on our weeks and what we have achieved on all levels the most rewarding. Now correct me if I'm wrong but these guys are just bloody amazing iconic #australiananimals , for those that have known me as a child, would say I had a strong love for all things lizard and frog and this guy along with the blue tongue had got to be a favourite. Did you know they can grow up to 85 cm long, more than half of this length is their tail. The grill is used for regulating heat and they can run up to 48km per hour. Bar-gee-bus that's o...ne fast frillie dude. I sense a new design coming on, I may just have to make them in my size too. 18.01.2022 Woowzers so the weather has been nuts here on the #southcoastnsw never would we think our trampoline would travel 30 meters up our rear lawn and land upright in our outdoor verandah area, plus we got a tree visitor from a neighbouring property. The weather has certainly been throwing us some curve balls this year, surprisingly my gauge of stress is so far removed compared to the fires. It's like oh well, a trampoline and a tree, no big deal, we are all safe, the kids ...slept through it all and it makes for a great story for show and tell. I've even made jokes, hey what's next a locust plague?? In all seriousness, we need the rain and I'm grateful for it, the tramp we can replace and the fence was needing some love too, so hey what's a little sharing of foliage. 11.01.2022 Daughters just seem to grow up much faster than sons, just recently I engaged in a conversation with my son whom told me that my eldest (Annika) had told him that when she's old enough she's going travelling and will have her own house to live in, I was a little shocked to think that a 6 yr old was already thinking of these concepts. My son told me, but mummy I'm never leaving you, I'm staying here forever Through the chaos down here on the south coast this year the additional time spent with family is something that's been hard but something I will never regret. They love dressing the same, eating the same. We have a nesting pair in a tree at the back of our property, and it was questionable as to whether they made it through the new years eve debacle here at #maluabay good news is they are alive and well and laughing up a storm.
