24.01.2022 Saying goodbye to hiking boots is 4.6 x more emotional than your favourite denim. Spanning a decade and a half, from Murrumbidgee to Mt Kilimanjaro you've always got me to where I wanted to go, and back home safely. Even on Day 3, when your soles started to give up & peel away; and I doubted we'd make it; you carried me to Uhuru summit and back down the mountain. Alas, it's time to de-lace and retire. Big shout out to Arthur & the crew Going Outdoor KE for helping me usher in a new pair to escort me on my latest African safari.

09.01.2022 Hi everyone, been a while between updates & embracing that familiar weight on my shoulders...for those that don't know, part of the extended hiatus between new travels & stories was due to a prolonged recovery after getting struck by car while riding my bike in Charleston SC (but for legal reasons couldn't post up until recently). So, I returned to my hometown of Perth WA & spent last couple of years saving for my latest African overland odyssey working with the bodacious #WB...CCrew @WhitfordsBrewingCo. Just flew into Tanzania to climb Mt Kilimanjaro then bussed it up to Nairobi where I'll embark on a two-and-a-half-month overland journey down to Cape Town SA that leaves tomorrow.
