05.01.2022 Hello everyone. Here follows the details for the next adventure - Tabletop day walk @ Litchfield. 20th September 2020. The walk will start at the wangi falls carpark. From wangi falls we will follow the tabletop link track for about 2km. At the point where the link track meets the tabletop track we will turn left and walk for approximately another 3.5 to 4km towards Tjenya Falls (total 5.5 to 6km). The waterfall we are going to is before Tjenya Falls. It isn't marked on the m...ap. I expect the walk to take max 1.5 hours. It is considered to be a grade 3-4. It won’t be too difficult but it isn’t suitable for children so only teenagers and above should participate. For people with children that still want to be involved we will meet for lunch and a swim at wangi falls prior to starting the hike. The walk will be hot but it is not overly long and ends at a nice place to cool off and spend the afternoon relaxing. The waterfall is a really special place and an incredible sunset spot. It is also very private and we will have the place all to ourselves except for the occasional tabletop track hiker. It will be a late return as we will stay for sunset which is at 6.45pm. We will be returning in the dark so you should bring a head torch but this will mean the walk back will be cool and pleasant. Schedule follows: 1pm - 2pm - Lunch at Wangi Falls picnic area before starting the hike (this means we don’t need to carry so much and can picnic more comfortably. It also means that there is no waiting around for people arriving at different times to start hiking and we can start hiking a little later in the day as it starts getting cooler. If you would prefer to skip lunch and just join for the hike please make sure you arrive before 2.30pm). 2pm - 2.30pm - swim at Wangi falls to cool off before starting the hike. 2.30pm - 4pm - hike to falls. 4pm - 6.45pm - swim at falls and sunset. 6.45pm to 8pm - return hike. What to bring: Lunch for pre-picnic Water obviously (the water at the falls is clean if you want to refill water bottles there.) Hat Head torch Preferred snacks for time spent at falls. Swimming clothes/towel All usual hiking stuff Let me know if you have any other questions about the hike or what to bring. Happy hiking
