18.01.2022 Eagleby Dental would like to introduce our new dentist Dr. Hadeel. Dr. Hadeel has been working with us here for the last 2 months and is a great contribution to our team. We are very pleased to have her as a part of our team here at Eagleby Dental. Hadeel completed her bachelor in dental sciences and oral surgery in Egypt, where she practiced for years before she moved to gold coast and started working as a supervisor at Griffith University Dental School mentoring dental students. Hadeel enjoys all aspects of dentistry with special interests in Root Canal Treatment and cosmetic dentistry. Her patients often describe her as being gentle and kind in her treatment, aiming to always provide a pleasant experience for all ages.

17.01.2022 Mr S came see us with concerns about a tooth that was very loose, due to severe gum disease. We removed the infected tooth and worked with him to bring the gum disease under control. He always wanted a whiter smile, so Mr S decided to brighten his teeth with our in-chair whitening, before shade-matching and designing his new porcelain bridge. Here's the final result!

16.01.2022 Open for appointments under Level 3 Restrictions This week, the Australian Dental Association has elevated our service restrictions to Level 3. This limits procedures being performed that generate 'aerosol' (i.e. most procedures using a dental handpiece) and it is recommended to postpone any non-urgent dental treatment, especially for patients at higher risk. At the next level of restrictions, only severe and life-threatening dental conditions can be treated so if you have... any dental concerns, please get in touch before restrictions increase again! 15.01.2022 Breaking News: Dental Restrictions Reduced to Level 2 As conditions continue to improve, the Australian Dental Association has announced, just this afternoon that we will be able to operate under 'Level 2' restrictions after ANZAC Day weekend. This gives us greater flexibility to perform necessary treatments outside of those considered urgent or emergency only. As always, strict hygiene and safety precautions will continue to stay in place.... We are currently still open by appointment so feel free to get in touch with any enquiries. Stay Safe! 13.01.2022 Tori has travelled more miles than anyone, to see Dr Heng at Eagleby Dental. Kentucky, USA to Brisbane - 9000miles (nearly 15,000kms!). Now off to Perth with a scholarship to Uni of WA. Good luck in your next adventure, Tori, we’ll see you when you return!

11.01.2022 WHAT TO DO WHEN AN ADULT TOOTH FALLS OUT! 1. Be careful with how you handle the tooth; Pick up the tooth by the crown not the root! 2. Store the tooth; Store it either in your mouth or in milk. 3. Get to the dentist ASAP!; Get to the dentist within an hour for the best possible outcome.... Charlize (age 8) had a small accident whilst on holiday which left her front tooth completely dislodged. We were able to stabilize the tooth with a wire. Over 6 months later the tooth is still intact.

04.01.2022 Dr Heng nearly fell off his chair when he found this lump under a patient's jaw during a routine dental check. It turned out to be a non-cancerous fatty growth called a Lipoma and is already being treated by our patient’s medical specialist. Fortunately, we don't come across this sort of thing very often and this particular tumour isn't harmful but please, don't ignore your regular dental checks, as you never know what we might pick up! (Thank you to our patient for kindly allowing us to share these photos and story!)

02.01.2022 Here is a transformation we have done for one of our favourite patients. Our patient was self conscious about the gaps in her smile and a dark tooth in an obvious spot. After a few painless visits she walked out feeling much more confident with her new smile.

01.01.2022 Great news, everyone! Dental restrictions have now eased to Level 1. We are now able to proceed with all procedures, including those which have been postponed due to the crisis. However, precautions still apply to patients who have, or suspect having COVID, as well as those in a high risk group. To our patients who have planned treatment postponed, expect a call from us this week to continue where we left off. As of today, we are also returning to our regular hours of 9am-5p...m Mon-Fri.
