13.01.2022 As we make our way into the winter months and we start using our clothes dryers more frequently, it’s a good time to remind each other if we have cleaned out th...e lint filter from our clothes dryers. This photo of a lint filter was from a local residents home after they could smell a strong smell of burning and called 000. They were unaware that a dryers lint filter: a) existed b) needed to be regularly cleaned out Check out www.fire.nsw.gov.au for more home safety tips.

10.01.2022 On average, there are approximately 21 deaths reported each year as a direct result of residential fires across NSW. Up to a half of those fatalities could have... been prevented if these homes had working smoke alarms as well as a home fire escape plan. Additionally, the interconnection of multiple alarms ensures that if one alarm detects smoke, all other alarms will activate to sound a warning. See more

10.01.2022 Eagle Fire Protection and all our staff would like to give our condolences to all the friends and families of the volunteer firefighters that lost their lives. Such a sad day when we lose people helping the greater community fighting these devastating bush fires. It was difficult enough to see one of our our own team members who is a volunteer fire fighter that knew the two heroes that sadly lost their lives, the pain and distress he felt over the tragic loss, it made us re...alise that we can not even begin to imagine what the family’s are going through. May they Rest In Peace. We would like to give our best wishes to the other firefighters that were injured and wish them a speedy recovery. We extend our gratitude to NSW Rural Fire Service and it members for all their hard work.
