24.01.2022 Adventures can be in your own backyard!

20.01.2022 For something completely different from COVID-19 This sheep escaped a farm and spent 6 years in the mountains, during which time he grew 60 pounds of wool. Wolves tried to eat him, but their teeth could not penetrate all that wool. There is an important life lesson here... somewhere. If you want to be safe from the wolves, don't be hard -- be super-soft... and extremely fluffy....... now for the real story . Shrek was a Merino sheep, a castrated male, belonging to South Island, New Zealand, who gained international fame in 2004 owing to his gigantic coat of fleece. Shrek became famous after escaping his enclosure and evading the shearers for six years by hiding in caves. Real lesson in the story, social distancing works, social isolation does not!

07.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE Dear Earth Trails Expeditions Adventurers and Friends, Over the last few weeks, we have been closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19. After careful consideration and discussion regarding the advice from the federal government, our executive team made the difficult decision last week to cancel all expeditions, placements, and events scheduled for 2020. This includes all fundraising expeditions, primary health clinics, and adventu...re placements. This decision is due to the increases in international travel restrictions, risk, and to protect non-essential personnel from traveling. We feel that it is part of our responsibility as an organisation to abstain from non-essential travel if there’s a risk to contribute to a pandemic. That being said, we will continue to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation and will look to recommence our operations as normal for 2021 We know many of you have been faced with making similar difficult decisions, and we appreciate your understanding of this to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
