24.01.2022 Title: Center Field Location: Clare Valley Year: 2014 Ive been homebound for the last 3 weeks and going a bit stir crazy. An exciting new creative gig just came through though that will give me worldwide exposure and Im really pumped to head out to the Clare Valley and shoot for it later this month. It blows me away how even in these crazy times, opportunities keep popping up which allow me to keep doing what I love. So grateful!

24.01.2022 Title: Vintage Location: McLaren Vale, SA Year: 2020 I had access to this gorgeous vineyard in McLaren Vale earlier this year to capture Kangaroos. A couple of beautiful landscape scenes presented themselves to me though and I couldnt say no! Hope you guys are staying safe - its a pretty surreal time were going through. Ill try to post plenty of beautiful landscapes over the coming weeks since travel is so restricted. 23.01.2022 Title: New Life Location: Adelaide Hills, SA Year: 2020 Late last year I spent 2 days shooting the Lobethal Bushland Park which was heavily burned in the Cudlee Creek fires. The brief was to capture regrowth among the devastation... something I’ve done a few times before. 23.01.2022 Title: Forever Young Location: Nangwarry Year: 2020 This image reminds me of when I first started Earth Art 10 years ago. I felt like this small pine tree. Little and insignificant... surrounded by so many talented and successful photographers. I had big dreams, but not much to show for it yet. Small trees grow though... and over time, with the right conditions they flourish. I definitely haven't 'made it' yet, and in some ways I hope I never do - but I've learned and experie...nced so much over the past decade and had a ball along the way. Any photographers out there who are just getting started: stay consistent, learn as much as you can and you never know where it might take you!

When snow hit the Flinders Ranges in August, I went up for a spur of the moment trip only to miss out on the white stuff. I was blessed with some amazing foggy conditions during a Murray River camping in September before finishing the year off with commissioned shoots in the Limestone Coast, McLaren Vale and Lobethal. I was fortunate enough to have my PURE books in all the rooms of the new Sky City EOS hotel and I have some more exciting news to share in January. 21.01.2022 Half of my PURE stock has already been sold from pre-orders and I have a feeling the remaining copies will go quickly leading up to Christmas. Ive already sold more copies than my previous book has in 3 years! I am currently packing orders for Germany, Netherlands, London, Paris, Singapore, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland and many more places around the globe. I had no idea little Kangaroo Island was so loved around the world! Around this time of year I start creating my annua...l calendar and taking pre-orders. Ive decided not to do a 2021 calendar however, and Im hoping everyone who regularly purchased calendars for gifts will spend a couple more $ and buy copies of PURE and SOUTHERN COMFORT instead. 20.01.2022 Title: Last Stand Location: Robe Year: 2020 The Obelisk in Robe is located on fast disappearing cliffs at Cape Dombey. Ive shot it a few times but last week I wanted to get a bit of a different angle to the usual. 17.01.2022 Title: Journeys End Location: Inman Valley Year: 2020 I have shot South Australia pretty extensively over the past 10 years, but there are still plenty of places on my list to spend more time checking out. The Inman Valley was on that list, and it was great to spend a couple of days wandering around there last week. I stumbled upon this late afternoon scene by accident. 11.01.2022 Ive always known that I was onto a good thing with my print/framing partners Blackman Gallery, but last week Dan exceeded my already high expectations. I sent him an SOS on Wednesday saying I needed a last minute print done up by Mothers Day. The next evening he was knocking on my door with this 50 beauty completed for me! Fast forward to this morning and Lisa was extremely happy with the new addition to our walls.

08.01.2022 Photographers: Did you know as an Earth Art Patreon member you can request CC from me at any time? This photo was taken by a member who was looking for some feedback. I did a quick iPhone Lightroom edit to show some ways the image could be improved and explained my thought processes. I felt the image was a bit washed out and also needed a different crop. I went with an 8:10 ratio and cropped out the bottom of the photo to lead the eye down the path better and also added contr...ast, darkening of the foreground and pulled the black slider to the left a bit to add some mood. I gave the fog a slight bluish tone and I made the foreground more of a red orange tint compared to the faded yellow tone of the original. Sometimes it only takes a few subtle changes to take an image to the next level. 05.01.2022 Title: Dynamo Location: Lake Bonney, SA Year: 2018 Sometimes a lot of planning goes into a shoot and other times its a spur of the moment dash to a location, hoping for the best. This particular moment was the latter! At 3pm, I decided to shoot sunset at Lake Bonney and by 7.30pm I was in the middle of a spectacular light and colour show. 02.01.2022 I really wasn’t expecting this result, but ‘Old School’ has won the vote for my image of the year. This beautiful tree was lit up beautifully by the late afternoon sun at Mullinger’s Swamp on the border with Victoria. The border was locked down when I was there and I had a couple of visits from the police wanting to know why I was just hanging around doing nothing! It’s called waiting for the light guys. Anyway, congrats to Jenni Fletcher who has won the print and book! Thanks to everyone who voted. It’s always very interesting seeing people’s variety in taste.
