14.01.2022 I'm recycling my old catalogues today. This exhibition was 11 years ago and it's interesting to think about my work back then. I'm decluttering my space and looking forward to starting some new work after taking a year off. After 20 years of continuous art practice it has been good to have a break and focus on other parts of my life. Now now I feel rejuvenated and ready to jump back in.

02.01.2022 I was so excited to receive the letter below. I couldn't sleep. I keep smiling. My portrait of the legendary Rene Bolten has been selected for JADA. Dear JADA artist, Congratulations, your work has been selected as a finalist in the Grafton Regional Gallery’s 2020 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA). In early August the selection panel convened and chose 56 works of the 659 entries from 521 artists from across Australia. This selection process was very difficult given... the high standard and number of entries received. The 2020 JADA selection panel comprised of: Niomi Sands Director, Grafton Regional Gallery Peter Wood CEO, Arts Northern Rivers Brett Addlington Director, Lismore Regional Gallery Michael Zavros Artist, winner and acquired artist of past JADA exhibitions Heather Brown President: Friends of the Grafton Gallery and Gallery Advisory Committee member The exhibition will be held at the Grafton Regional Gallery from the 2 October to 22 November 2020.
