18.01.2022 Ceremony to mark the passing from one year into another. Nothing fancy, we each wrote down all that we wished to release on one side of a piece of paper, and on the other all we wished for the coming year. We each brought something to the table - a favourite crystal, or 3. We then lit some Palo Santo incense to clear this year’s energies, and then burnt our pieces of paper. Do you have a word, or words, for the upcoming year? I do this every year, work with a word. I’ve known my word for next year for a while, it came thundering into a meditation. No chance of missing it. My word for 2021 is Empowered. What’s your word? Wishing you all a gentle new year as we travel from one of the bumpiest so far into uncharted territories. 12.01.2022 This was the first thing I read in the news today, an amendment being suggested to the already absurd legislation. "The legislation has been put before parliament as an amendment to a previous law which gagged living sex abuse survivors. Under current laws, any victim who wants to publicly speak about their own trauma has to seek a court order, which is costly and could take months to obtain. One of the victims who was impacted by the law previously has said she felt like the... ruling was a 'genuinely masterful job at gaslighting survivors. It actually places the government on the side of the perpetrator because it silences the survivors.' They would not even be able to name the victims or criminals under new gag laws being proposed by the Victorian government. If the legislation passes through parliament, media outlets and family members would also be forced to remove any online references to victims." Closely followed by a HAP (Health Australia Party) post about the Victorian Government removing Victorians' right to opt out of smart meters. I just have no words today.

12.01.2022 To all those wondering if I’m able to see clients in person, the answer, as you can probably guess by the picture, is no. Currently, as someone who practices from home, and not an allied health clinic, in order to meet the guidelines I need a covid plan in places (which, in a home, is pretty impossible as I need to put up multiple signage and floor markings, etc), plus a separate entry and exit point (which I don’t have), and be registered as a business with the local cou...ncil with correct zoning. Again, none of which applies to me as a sole trader. So... for the rest of the year it will remain as online only and I’ll have to wait and see what happens. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all clients who have embraced the virtual experience and apologise to those who I know have been waiting to book until I could resume face to face sessions. I’ll keep an eye on any changes to the rules and hope that things change soon. I miss seeing clients in person. I know online works just as well, but for some, coming in-person is a very important part of the experience for them and I miss being able to offer them that. And I miss the hugs and connection. Sigh. Last date for appointments this year is Friday 11 December and spaces are already filling up. I will open up again on Monday 1 February. 09.01.2022 Now this is my kind of new normal

05.01.2022 Pixie and I are excited to have received my latest @blissful.herbs order. I love buying from this business, not only because I’m supporting local, but because the products are so amazing and made with such care and love.
