25.01.2022 Our phones are very busy today following the media release of a positive COVID result in the Ipswich region. If you have any of the following symptoms, see below, you can be tested through a private pathology testing clinic. You will need a phone consult, if youve had a consult in the past 12 months this phone consult will be bulk billed. If you are non-symptomatic but have been in the regions that the positive people visited you will need to present to a government fever ...clinic. In our region: Ipswich Hospital and Popup Testing Clinic Orion Shopping Centre Address: Western carpark of Orion Shopping Centre, Sirius Drive (behind Target), Springfield Central Open: 9 am 4 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Under 5 years of age must be taken to a permanent clinic for testing Continue to be vigilant with hand hygiene, social distancing and do not go to work if you have any cold symptoms. Stay safe East family.

25.01.2022 Unfortunate but a reality, stay vigilant and remember if you need to enter the clinic you will need to wear a mask.

25.01.2022 Good morning East team patients. Our phones and Drs are very busy. This morning we have had notification of another positive case in Ipswich. A revised list of places that they have visited is on West Moreton Health web page. We will be phoning all patients that have appointments to switch them over to phone consults. The 2 walk in clinics are located at Ipswich general hospital or Salvation Army Hall at Bundamba. Keep up your social distancing and do not go to work or school if you are unwell.

25.01.2022 In uncertain times in the midst of a pandemic its even more important that we as a community reach out to all of our loved ones.

24.01.2022 Its a bling/glam type of Birthday today. RN Julie celebrated her special day so its all about the glam. EXPECT A CALL to encourage you to have a phone consult, all scripts, referrals, letters and radiology can be completed over the phone. COVID contact tracing has not been completed for the positive patients connected to the IGH. WE WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP YOU AND OUR TEAM SAFE. THANKFUL FOR AN UNDERSTANDING PATIENT BASE.

24.01.2022 We have finally placed our sneeze screens in place for the protection of the staff team. As per Government guidelines every patient is being asked to wear a mask in West Moreton regions in medical precincts. Until we have all notifications of contact tracing of the current positives cases in our region we will be offering phone consultations for all patients. Mask up for in clinic consults. Do the 1.5 and hand hygiene is a must.

21.01.2022 East is at it again. Lockdown Dressdown. What a few days we are having. If you have an appointment you may get a phone call to swap over to a phone consult. We need to get our social distancing rules in line with Public Health regulations. Our Canadian Dr Nav may have been outplayed today wearing her Canadian ice hockey jersey. Dr Pete’s last day tomorrow for 3 months he happily handed over the wine baton to Nav for his patients.

20.01.2022 Looking back at the last 6 months , what a year at East!!!!! So many changes to how we practice. You too have had changes, 1 we are finding our patients are struggling with is prescription requests. We are no longer doing $10 pick up of scripts, you will need a visit or a phone consultation. To ensure you don’t run out of medication you will need to read your medication box. It will tell you that your last repeat has been filled. That is the prompt to ring and make a phone consult or an appointment. We also have a stash of paperwork, scripts and referrals that are waiting to be picked up following phone consults. Be safe in the stormy weather team patients.

19.01.2022 Enjoy your weekend if you are going away. Drive safely on the roads and continue to social distance. We will require all patients to wear a mask into the clinic for the next 2 weeks. We will continue to screen all calls and COVID testing will be given to every patient that calls with cold symptoms. Happy Easter.
