23.01.2022 The AGM will be tomorrow (Tues, Dec 13) at 7pm. Please make every effort to attend it! The only rehearsal for St. Mary's Carols will follow the AGM at 7:30pm. The service on Sunday morning starts at 9am.

22.01.2022 The Annual General Meeting of the Society for 2016 will be held at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 13 December, 2015 in St Marys Anglican Church, 240 Birrell St, Waverley. A rehearsal for the Carols Service on Sunday 18 Dec will follow (details to be confirmed).

16.01.2022 Hello musicians! The last concert of the year is on November 19 with rehearsals commencing October 10.

15.01.2022 About Neil Thompson, Conductor... Upon graduating from his Bachelor of Music with Honours (Adelaide) Neil went on to study at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne on full scholarship. After becoming the Australian Chamber Orchestras Emerging Artist on viola he soon became a Fellow of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra thereafter still playing casually with both as well as the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. Neil toured with The Cat Empire for a cou...ple of years which included performing at major festivals, live for Channel V and featuring on their live DVD Live at The Bowl in which he also solos with the band. Last year (2013) he workshopped Johnny Greenwoods (Radiohead) latest composition Water with the ACO. He has performed with some of the most preeminent musicians both domestically and internationally including Richard Tognetti, Kristian Winther, Pekka Kuusisto, Richard Gill, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Ray Chen, Sophie AnneMutter, Anthony Marwood and others. An avid chamber musician, Neil is honoured and excited to be part of The Chamber Project and has recently founded The Nano Symphony with his wife and fellow musician, Catherine. See more

10.01.2022 Hi ESCO friends! Were performing this weekend - this concert is a Schubert showcase featuring symphony 2 and an overture in the Italian style! Plus were excited to welcome a fantastic soloist Stephan Grant to perform with us. We will be conducted by a new, permanent musical direct Louis Sharpe. We look forward to seeing you all there!
