13.01.2022 Our Game Officers continue to be out on patrol across regional Victoria. We recently searched a property and seized a number of Hog Deer heads and firearms beli...eved to be used in committing offences including: Hunting hog deer during closed season Hunting at night Possession of Hog Deer with no tags Failure to take Hog Deer carcass to a checking station If you are unsure of local game hunting laws and regulations, please visit gma.vic.gov.au The GMA and Victoria Police will continue to identify, intercept and prosecute people hunting in an illegal and dangerous manner. People are urged to report illegal hunting, such as poaching and breaches of public safety laws, to the GMA through its website at https://bit.ly/3f49Tai, the Customer Contact Centre on 136 186 or by contacting Victoria Police.

11.01.2022 Everyone have a great weekend

11.01.2022 The Victorian Government has announced updated restrictions for Melbourne and regional Victoria. Restrictions are changing to slow the spread of coronavirus (CO...VID-19). If you live in metropolitan Melbourne, Stage 4 restrictions are now in place, and you can no longer leave home for recreational activities including hunting. For regional Victoria, including Mitchell Shire, Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions will be in place from 11:59pm on Wednesday 5 August. If you live in regional Victoria, there will be only four reasons to be out: shopping for food and essential items, care and caregiving, daily exercise and work and study if you cant do it from home. You can leave home to exercise or for outdoor recreation in regional Victoria, including hunting, with people from your household, or one other person. You should stay close to home and maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres from others at all times. You should also avoid sharing equipment and sanitise it after use. If you live in regional Victoria, you cannot visit metropolitan Melbourne to undertake recreational activities such as hunting. Face coverings must be worn by all Victorians aged 12 years and over whenever they leave home, unless they have a lawful exception. For the latest information on restrictions to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), visit the Department of Health and Human Services. www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus

08.01.2022 More changes to Regional Victorias restriction levels - Effective from Thursday 17 September Country Victorians have been magnificent their efforts to supp...ress the coronavirus. Many hardworking Gippsland businesses open during Stage 2 have been unfairly restricted by the roadmap, even with low regional case numbers. It is only appropriate that restriction concessions affecting industries such as beauty and hospitality have been announced today. Congratulations to all those businesses and individuals who signed petitions, wrote to the Premier and with me and my Nationals colleagues lobbied for easing of restrictions. It is a step in the right direction, there are many still to go. Here is what we know so far. Need help applying the changes or join our mailing list? Call my team on (03) 51747066 or email me on [email protected] and we will assist you. Full details and FAQs are yet to be updated online.

08.01.2022 Just letting everyone know our General meeting/catch up & AGM for August will be cancelled due to these trying times. Stay safe & well everyone - and look forward to catching up when we can.
