25.01.2022 EHPS Presentation Day Assemblies 2020 Today we held two Presentation Day Assemblies celebrating the outstanding achievements of our fabulous students this year. 2020 has been a challenging and in many ways a very rewarding year for our students. While striving to achieve their learning goals, our students learnt new, innovative ways to solve problems and collaborate with others. Our students have shown ownership over their learning, have been gritty, reflective and curious. W...e are very proud of the way our students displayed pride in themselves and our beautiful school today. Thank you to all of our families for your support and understanding. We hope that you enjoy viewing these photos and the class photos sent through via Seesaw by your class teachers. Today was a day to celebrate all of our amazing students, as every student has achieved learning goals and had individual success. Congratulations students! ...And best wishes to our graduating Year 6 students. See more

25.01.2022 Today, 4/5 Tamarillo finished the term investigating the colour wheel. We loved experimenting with tones and shades, and even made our own colours from 3 primary colours, and used our creativity to name them.

23.01.2022 Last week students at East Hills Public School had a fantastic day learning in their pyjamas! The students successfully raised $149 on Pyjama Day and $50 on Milo Monday. What a fantastic effort. Thank you to all families for supporting our Year 6 Farewell fundraising events.

23.01.2022 "Our public schools offer all children the opportunity to build positive futures for themselves, their families and our communities," Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos said.

22.01.2022 In Nectarine this week, students created their own artworks inspired by the artist, Pete Cromer. They selected their favourite animal and chose the coloured paper that they needed to create the animal. Students didn’t use any template, but rather looked at the shapes used and how to overlap them effectively to create the image. We also started fractions this week. Students used their names to work out the fraction for how many letters and how many vowels and consonants.

22.01.2022 Our school leaders joined over 4000 students from all over New South Wales for the National Young Leaders Conference at Darling Harbour. They came back to school sharing inspiration from Jimmy Rees, David Campbell, Anastasia Woolmer and Lachie Smart.

16.01.2022 5/6 Willow had the fun of experiencing an in-class camp day that was themed around this terms Greek mythology unit. The class started the day with a ‘round the campfire’ morning routine, a Greek mythology escape room where they were rewarded with goody bags of party food and keepsakes. Students enjoyed a Greek inspired lunch whilst viewing ‘Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters’ and ended the day in victory over a game of ‘Capture the Flag’ with 4/5 Eucalyptus. What a rewarding way to finish term 3!

11.01.2022 Today we held the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition for Years 3 to 6. We are so impressed with all the entries. Speeches across both stages reflected a deep understanding of our very multicultural and diverse society. Congratulations to our four students who made it through. Their speeches will go forward to the next level with the NSW Department of Education Arts Unit.

11.01.2022 5/6 Willow have transformed their classroom to reflect the Greek mythology lessons they have been engaging in as part of the class novel study this term - Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. The students have enjoyed participating in a range of activities including detailing character profiles, making star constellations and creating their own copper art Ancient Greek hero shields. These are just some of the engaging learning experiences happening at East Hills Public school!

08.01.2022 The excursion site Stage 1 visited received huge flash flooding, and much of the historical buildings have been damaged - some perhaps are irreparable. Deeply moved and saddened by the devastation of the flood, we wrote letters to Pioneer Village and discussed what would be lost if Pioneer Village wasn't around anymore. It was fantastic to see the philanthropic hearts of our students at EHPS.

07.01.2022 Our new mural, painted by a local Indigenous artist, is the gateway to our new bush tucker trail. And here is one of our classes enjoying their nature journaling lesson.
