19.01.2022 Club Championships are over for 2020. Some big changes were done this year - all events played over one weekend, being one. By the looks the changes were good, with 60 people (over HALF of our members) competing. This weekend was also a number of firsts. For the first time in a number of years, a Division 1 Women’s Singles was played. A number of players in the Division 2 events experienced tournament play for the first time. Thanks to work by the Pro Performance Tennis A...cademy team, junior events were run over four divisions. It was a massive weekend, with some sore bodies fronting for a second day’s play on the Sunday. The tournament would not have been possible, but for a small army of people, too many to mention, who organised the events, helped out in the canteen, cooked or donated food, ran the BBQ or prepared the club and courts for each day’s play. 10.01.2022 Our 2020 End of Year function was a great success, bigger and better than ever. A jumping castle and laser tag saw a lot of active people for what would otherwise be a relaxing Saturday afternoon. The raffles this year raised over $500, a record. A big thank you to Tennis Direct Australia for donating the prizes for the raffles. Pro Performance Tennis Academy also had their awards for their 2020 students. It has been great to see the number of juniors steadily grow at the ...club, with some now taking part in regular club competition and even taking out events at this year's Club Championships! Great work from the Committee once again!
