Despite plenty of territory and possession in the first half, they found themselves down 1-3 at half-time. This remained the full-time score. 18.01.2022 After the Easts v Bulimba 2-0 win, Labrador played Norths, so today we got the chance to see the best in the comp. In the Brisbane Div 1 League, Labrador are equal on points with Easts, but are the ladder leaders due to goal difference. In the 12 games played, we have scored 60 goals (Average 5), while Labrador have scored 84 (Average 7). How on earth are Labrador scoring so many goals? The first 2 goals gave me a hint. ... 06.01.2022 "It's been a long time between drinks", as they say, for two players who have returned to Brisbane Women's Hockey Association Division 1 action. Natalie Gordon ...lined up in Easts Hockey Club's first-grade side a fortnight ago - her first Division 1 game since 2006! A Division 1 premiership winner with the Tigers and the competition's leading goal scorer in 2001, she returned to hockey this season following a 13-year break from the sport. Natalie has now played 198 Division 1 games for Easts and South West United Hockey Club. Last weekend, Darlene Watson played a Division 1 match for the first time in eight years, lining up for Redcliffe Leagues Hockey Club Inc. It was her 167th appearance in Division 1 - 53 for Redcliffe Leagues and 114 for Kedron Wavell Services Hockey Club. 03.01.2022 Our JT4 played their 3-v-4 Final Match against UQ recently at the Uni of QLD, to end the season on a high note. Score: 1 - 0 to the - to take The girls finished the short season in 3rd place, just 1 point behind 2nd. Thanks to Quinton Dell, Dan McKiernan and Ian Randall the Coaches and Manager Kylie McKiernan.... From Coach Q: The mighty JT4s, pictured here earlier this season, had a fantastic run. We only had 1 loss and 1 draw all year (pre-COVID included), scoring many goals in a short season. Very hard to believe we werent in the GF with those incredible stats (missing the 1 v 2 game by only 1 point), but they soldiered on and showed their quality to win the final 3 v 4 game. Us coaches are very proud of their efforts, team and personal growth for this groups first season on turf. Great season girls. Bravo young Ladies. 03.01.2022 Last week, the Easts Div 5 Rivalry Match was played between East's two Division 5 Mens Teams. In an open and close match, nothing could separate the protagonists. Final Score: 1-1 Draw. Having 2 teams of fairly similar ability this season had the 5-2s finishing in 4th place at the end of the normal season, while the 5-1s finished in 5th place. ... 02.01.2022 In a Semi-Final for the ages, our Div 1 came from behind to pip the Commercial Cobras, 4-2 in a Penalty Shoot-out. With a 1-1 full-time score, Tiges Keeper Casey Lee became the hero of the hour denying 2 Commercial attempts. The Cobras were quick out of the blocks, and scored from their first PC. Easts came back into the game, dominating the 2nd half, but couldn't put away any of their several chances in front of goal.... A deflection by Arin Doig off a Matt Pembroke PC hit got the Tigers back to 1-1 before the Penalty Shoot-out. Well Done fellas. 02.01.2022 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Saturday 21st November 2020 at 3pm The Annual General Meeting of Eastern Suburbs Hockey Club Inc. will be held at Adrian & Lorraine Pembroke Members Clubrooms, Clem Jones Centre, Stanley Road, Carina on Saturday 21st November 2020 at 3.00pm.... The 2021 Management Committee will be elected at the Annual General Meeting, when all positions become vacant. The election of all officers and members of the Management Committee shall take place in the following manner: * Any two members of the club shall be at liberty to nominate any other member to serve as an officer or other member of the Management committee. * The nomination, which shall be in writing and signed by the candidate, proposer and seconder, shall be lodged with the Club Secretary, Reg Knowles, [email protected] at least fourteen days before the Annual General Meeting. * A list of candidates, proposers and seconders names shall be posted on the club noticeboard seven days prior to the Annual General Meeting. On conclusion of the Annual General Meeting, all are welcome to stay for drinks
