22.01.2022 This Saturday, Round 1 takes on special significance for both Easts and Sunnybank Dragons Senior Rugby as both clubs play for the Rick Tyrrell Cup. This is the 7th time this cup has been contested. Rick was a member of both clubs and is dearly missed. It is an honour for our club to pay tribute to Rick and also raise awareness for mental health in conjunction with Rugby Unite. In a show of united support and camaraderie, both teams will play the full game in their opposition ...socks, the Sock Swap is an annual tribute, a message to walk in the shoes of another. Our message is simple to all young men and women, please don’t be afraid to speak and don’t feel like you are alone. #mentalhealthawareness

20.01.2022 Tomorrow Easts and Sunnybank play for the Rick Tyrell Cup. Rick was a member of both the 1997 and 1999 Easts Premiership sides before coming back to the club and volunteering his time as a coach of the 2009 Colts 1 side at Easts. Simply put, Rick was a valued member of both Sunnybank and Easts rugby club and he is dearly missed by all. Tomorrow we play in his honour, please take the time tomorrow to remember Rick and the wonderful contribution he made to Sunnybank and Easts. He will never be forgotten.
