Our residents and staff are all missing our dedicated volunteers and we can't wait until we can welcome you all back. ... Thank you for everything you do for us and we will see you soon

24.01.2022 Hands across the water fundraising was in full swing today, with Cassie & Rob riding 100km each out of their mission to ride 800km each this month! If you would like to make a donation, this can be done through reception.

24.01.2022 A huge thank you to our staff that have helped out in the coffee shop, whilst our Volunteers haven't been able to come in. Residents and staff have all enjoyed their coffees and look forward to welcoming back our Volunteers to the coffee shop next week.

22.01.2022 Update on Restrictions: As we should all be aware, we are in a state of disaster, with further restrictions for all Regional Victorians to come into effect from midnight Wednesday. We have made the decision here at Wharparilla Lodge to go into full lock down from today, therefore we are not permitting visitors to enter into the facility. ... We are doing everything we can to keep our residents and staff safe during these difficult times. Stay safe everyone and we will all get through this together.

15.01.2022 NEW VISITING RESTRICTIONS As we all know, things are changing every day with restrictions. We now have a directive from the Department of Health in regards to visitors for Aged Care facilities. Each Resident can have one nominated carer who can visit, for up to 1 hour each day. Visiting hours are now 2-3pm and 3-4pm. Visitors are still required to call the facility during business hours Monday to Friday (8.30am to 4.30pm) to make an appointment. ... Visitors are required to wear a mask when visiting and temperature will be taken, as well as screening questions. We ask visitors to please respect these new regulations and only stay for their allocated time slot. As always, if unwell or you have visited Melbourne or Mitchell Shire, please do not enter the facility. Thank you to everyone for being understanding during these changing times.

15.01.2022 Aged Care Employee Day! We are all so lucky to work with our amazing Residents every day, who have shown some appreciation for our fantastic staff! We were spoilt with morning tea from Fuzion Cafe who have put on an amazing spread, with our afternoon and night staff also getting some goodie boxes. ... Thank you doesn't seem enough for the work our amazing team does, especially in these trying times. To our team, you are AMAZING!

14.01.2022 This month, our very own Rob & Cassie are completing a virtual challenge, riding 800km each to support the Charity; Hands Across The Water! 5 days in and they are well ahead of the pack. 08.01.2022 Today is National Lemonade Day! The Residents and Staff all enjoyed a nice refreshing homemade lemonade, from our lemonade stand. Well done to the lifestyle team in creating another special event for the Residents to enjoy.

08.01.2022 As of Wednesday 22nd July, ALL staff, visitors and volunteers will be required to wear face masks, whilst in the facility. This will be very different for everyone, so let's all work together and we will get through it. A reminder to visitors, if you are unwell, please don't visit and if you have been to Melbourne or Mitchell shire, please don't come in until you have self isolated at home.
