25.01.2022 The topic is turf. Turf is an art. Turf is one of the first things your visitors see when they pop over. Its the one thing you compete in with your neighbours. When deciding turf, it comes down to personal preference, land size, irrigation sources and budget. One major thing that nearly isnt discussed is drainage, land fall and levels. Have you ever wondered why you are always spilling your beer when mowing on your ride on mower?... Cheap doesnt mean the best. It usually means lay and run. We take pride in what we do and stand by our workmanship and products. The photos at the top is before and after kerb and turf is laid. We run heights to achieve fall to the front and achieve a nice smooth finish by sceeding it to suit. No water pooling, no humps, wholes. Turf is recessed for a quality finish. Bottom photo is freshly laid turf by an unknown contractor. Some is laid over existing buffalo. Turf is 150mm higher than the kerb. A lot of defects.
