23.01.2022 Holidays in Victoria and New South Wales are back! Covid-19 restrictions in Victoria will be eased from Monday 1st June, so that means that y...ou can come back to Echuca Moama. You can go on a road trip and stay in a hotel, motel, holiday home, B&B or other overnight accommodation for as many nights as you like. Social distancing rules still apply in all public spaces, and our restaurants and cafes are working hard to ensure they can meet minimum clear space requirements. Shared facilities in caravan parks will remain closed. We can't wait to welcome you back! 18.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day

11.01.2022 Peter Williams, Chair of the Winter Blues Festival, would like to announce the following: "We are sad to advise today that the July 2020 Echuca Moama Winter Blu...es Festival will not go ahead this year. As you know Covid-19 has turned our world on its head. The Committee has consulted with stakeholders and closely followed the directions and expectations of the State and Federal Government about the easing of lockdown rules. The Committee left the decision to cancel as late as possible with the hope that the Covid-19 situation and provisions may have eased sufficiently by the end of July, but, it became clear that significant restrictions are likely to still be in place come Festival time." The Winter Blues Festival has been operating on the last weekend in July for 21 years and brings more than 20,000 people to the town. Mr Williams said "The Committee recognises that planning such a large gathering at this time is would not be wise. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to planning for the 2020 Festival. We hope that our communities continue to stay safe and well. We plan to be back with a great line up of Blues music on 22 - 25 July 2021. The Winter Blues Festival is taking a financial hit of around $30,000 as most of the planning for this year’s event had been completed prior to lockdown. We are looking at ways that we may recover some of this loss to ensure that we can plan for 2021. Please stay in touch with developments through our website: www.winterblues.com.au which will be updated shortly.

10.01.2022 Hi everyone, Thank you to our artists, venues, sponsors and fans for your patience as the Winter Blues committee works through options for our planned July 2020... event. We have been working diligently on a variety of options as we move forward, and wanted to communicate a timeline. This Wednesday 13 May, the committee will meet with venues and the music programmer to discuss our position in regards to proceeding with an event at the end of July, given what information we currently have in regards to government restrictions that may be in place in this timeframe. The following Wednesday 20 May the committee will meet to assess various options, and we expect to make an official announcement shortly after this. We look forward to letting you know how we plan on moving forward in due course, and again appreciate your patience.

08.01.2022 The Victorian Bushfire Appeal provides a formal channel for the public to donate money directly to affected families and communities. 100% of donated funds will... go directly to those in need. To donate please visit vic.gov.au/bushfireappeal Please do not donate goods as relief centres are overwhelmed by donations and it is diverting resources away from critical tasks. The best way people can help is through financial donations.
