16.01.2022 A delightful evening under the stars. Over 200 locals came together to celebrate the Manilla Solar project - a partnership between Manilla Community Renewable Energy Inc and Providence Asset Group to build a community owned solar farm in Manilla. The evening also celebrated 20 years of local Landcare group.... The 100 Mile Dinner concept ensures all the food served is grown within 100 miles of Manilla. This concept supports local producers and reduces food miles. The night featured a nocturnal nature walk with local ecologist Phil Spark, and live music from the band - Magpie Diaries. A highlight of the evening was a fantastic rendition of "Your the Voice" by the community choir - complete with bagpipe solo thanks to Felix the Piper. So many people contributed to this evening. It is a glowing example of what communities can do when we work together! Many thanks to our supporters.
