This workshop explores the characteristics strengths and challenges of autism and provides parents and family members who are new to autism with a welcoming introduction to useful resources and supports. 20.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Playgroup Tasmania is currently taking registrations to join our online PlayBaby groups. Sessions will start in early 2021. ... PlayBaby groups are open to all expecting parents and families with a baby under 6 months. They are an opportunity to meet other new parents, support each other through those early months, and get some great ideas for playing and connecting with your baby. 18.01.2022 As announced by the Premier today school sites in the North West will remain closed next week. We will not be on site but can be contacted on the school mobile. Teachers will be contacting families via new mobile phones from their homes, so please expect a call from a new number as well. We will continue to support families via phone and text and help you sign up to the Seesaw App. I hope everyone is safe and well, Kylie :)

17.01.2022 If your little one is not sleeping like a baby...then I need you!! To complete my Sleep Consultant Training I need 12 volunteer clients - 4 with babies 3-6 mont...hs old, 4 with babies 7-12 months old and 4 with toddlers 13 months old and up. I will need you to fill in a sleep intake form and sleep and feed log, and then after discussing these with you I will write a comprehensive sleep plan to support and guide you to more sleep for everyone, that suites your parenting style. I will provide follow up with you every few days for 2 weeks, and I will have a fully qualified mentor overseeing our progress. If you are interested please send me a message with a contact number. If you have friends or family dealing with little ones and sleep issues or are just happy to, please share this post. I can even have clients from the mainland as I can do phone and email consults. I am offering a professional service for free and I would love the opportunity to help make a difference in your life not just for now but ongoing!

11.01.2022 How are you all going at home this week? Its really important to be looking after the adults in your household as well as the kids! Source Kids have some great ideas for looking after Mental Health during this time. Im making sure I go for a 20 minute walk each day (sometimes with my kids and sometimes by myself) and I am enjoying paying attention to the changing colours of the trees, and the flowers in the gardens around my neighbourhood. Feel free to share your ways of looking after yourself in the comments below.

05.01.2022 Hello, my name is Tracey and I have had the pleasure of working at ECIS for the past 3 years. This year I am working on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. In 2021 I will be working with families in a variety of settings, including Montello, Somerset, Cooee, Riana and Yolla Primary Schools. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and if I’m really lucky, reading a good book. I am enjoying meeting new faces this year, as well as catching up with families I have previously worked with. I am looking forward to another great year at ECIS.

03.01.2022 ECIS is having a toy sale! Our industrious Teacher Assistants have been having a tidy and found some toys that we have multiples of or no longer use. The smaller items have been bundled up into boxes which contain a selection of different things. A box can be yours for only $5. The larger items which include ride on bees, a play-nest, and a lightweight tent to name a few, are also available for sale. Make an offer next time you are in for your session. Please see Lois in the office if you are interested. Payment must be made at the time of collection and needs to be cash please.
