14.01.2022 In March 2020 ‘How Did I Get Here?’, a touring exhibition from ART ON THE MOVE and Art Gallery of Western Australia touring program Freighting Ideas was installed at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery. As a result of COVID-19 we had to close the gallery doors to visitors. We have put together a video tour of the exhibition with local Curator, Ingrid Horn and Robert Cook, Curator of 20th Century Arts at Art Gallery of WA that explores the connections between the featured artworks ...from the Art Gallery of WA State Art Collection and artworks from the City of Greater Geraldton’s Art Collection. One thing that is missing in this exhibition is you, the audience. Viewers bring their own imagination and creativity when they observe an artwork, and this plays an integral role in completing the artwork itself. You are the final piece This is an ART ON THE MOVE and Art Gallery of Western Australia touring program developed as part of Freighting Ideas project. This project has been made possible through the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost managed by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by Royalties for Regions and delivered in partnership by ART ON THE MOVE and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. #freightingideas #howdidigethere #artinwa
