24.01.2022 Meet the Maker - Michelle Brady from Sow n Sow. Michelle started Sow n Sow in her bedroom in Melbourne with just 2 Gift of Seeds seed varieties. Now located in the beautiful Maleny, Queensland, Sow 'n Sow is celebrating 10 years in business this year. I knew nothing about the gift and homewares industry, nothing about retail or wholesale trade and not a lot about gardening! It was a steep learning curve but I found my way and slowly grew the business little by little as we...ll as having 2 kids! We wouldnt be where we are today without my very hard working team of employees Sow n Sow Gift of Seeds and Gift Tags are printed in Australia on post consumer recycled card with plant-based soy ink. Each product features beautiful artworks by designer and illustrator Daniella Germain. The seeds are non-hybrid, open pollinated, non GMO varieties sourced from reputable suppliers both within Australia and abroad. Michelle's biggest inspiration, not surprisingly, are gardens. I absolutely love visiting gardens, youll find me at any open garden opportunity and Im obsessed with looking at gardens in magazines, and on social media. My own garden is coming along, Im very blessed to live on beautiful fertile soils in Maleny. My veggie patch brings me a lot of joy, especially that most of my meals include something home grown. www.biome.com.au/269_sow-n-sow-seed-cards

21.01.2022 Did you know that Biome is 100% free from all palm oil? Biome's mission from day one has been to be a part of the solution to the world's environmental problems. Since we began in 2003, we have spoken out about palm oil. As a result of taking bold action in May 2017 for Biome stores to be 100% free from palm oil, a chain reaction is happening. Now, other Australian stores are talking about palm! We are proud that our action is helping make palm oil matter. What we offer are... brands that have gone to extra lengths to find a different way of doing things. We seek out brands that use simple, close-to-nature ingredients, so that you have peace of mind about exactly what is in the products. Together we can make palm oil matter! The only sure way to help reduce the destruction caused by palm oil cultivation is to avoid all palm oil, including that claimed to be sustainable". One easy way to do that is support the wonderful brands that can be found at Biome! Visit our website to learn more > www.biome.com.au/content/25-palm-oil
