19.01.2022 National Child Protection Week (6 12 September 2020), is a reminder to all Australians of their collective responsibility to prioritise the safety and wellbei...ng of children. This includes access to essentials such as food and healthcare, as well as creating positive and secure environments. Children often see or hear violence between their parents - 65% of women who had children in their care when they experienced violence by a current or former partner reported that the children had seen or heard the violence. This childhood trauma has longterm, lifelong effects so we must continue to put the wellbeing of children first. To celebrate this year’s theme of ‘Putting Children First’, NAPCAN Play Your Part is hosting a series of thought-provoking events and webinars this week. Discover how you can make a difference by registering today: https://www.napcan.org.au/ #playyourpart #childprotectionweek

07.01.2022 This weekend the ECTA Conference Committee selected 24 workshop presenters and a keynote presenter for the 2021 ECTA Early Childhood E-Conference. It was extrem...ely hard as all submissions were of extremely high quality. Those who submitted will be notified via email of the outcome of their submission shortly. To allow for maximum participation across the state in a COVID-19 uncertain world we are planning a hybrid event, with the option of presenters and members attending virtually via ZOOM or meeting at a metropolitan or regional hub (with the option to switch between face to face and virtual participation prior to the event).. Numbers will be limited at hubs so early registration is highly recommended. It all sounds extremely exciting and we are all looking forward to the challenge. Registrations will be online opening in January or early February. Information and registration found at www.ecta.org.au #ectacon2021 See more
