19.01.2022 DUCKs DADS AND KIDS CAMP It was such a popular (and quiet) attraction last year the DUCKs Camp Silent DISCO is back! Dont miss out, get your ticket now!... Friday 13th November from 4.30pm on the KPS oval Come along and pitch a tent or swag with your kids. Show us your moves at the Silent Disco! BBQ dinner and breakfast included. The kids always love this event, so lock it in the diary and well see you there!! $35 per family (regardless of how many children). Includes BBQ dinner and breakfast, morning coffee for Dads, marshmallows and fun and games for the kids. Should be great night for both Dads and Kids! Will be wrapped up by 8am Saturday morning, so the oval can be used for cricket and the kids can get off to weekend sport etc. We're running the bookings through Trybooking to try and keep it nice and simple. Its a flat rate per family - the different options on the booking site are just to give us an idea of numbers. Although the DUCKs activities are aimed at encouraging Dads to get active in their kids lives, we understand that there is not always a father figure available. As always DUCKs activities are also open to Mums who would like to attend. Due to Working with Children regulations for overnight events - this is an event for parents to attend with their children. Please use the link below to book https://www.trybooking.com/BLSAN

12.01.2022 MOVIE NIGHT UPDATE ... After much consideration, the P&C executive, with the support of the school, have chosen to postpone the movie night on Friday 27th March. Although we have clear guidelines at this stage that would allow us to still hold the event, we are conscious of the regularly changing advice being provided and thought it prudent to make the call early to minimise the disruption to those who were going to be attending.... We also appreciate that there may be a general reluctance to attend community gatherings at the present, and dont want the current conditions to detract from the main purpose of the night, being to get as many people there as we can to fundraise for our Year 6s. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of both our sponsors, Karen Firth from Bourke and Melinda Devonshire from Statewest Civil who both chose, very quickly, not to withdraw their sponsorship. All ticket sales shall be refunded via the TryBooking site. We hope to have this completed by the end of the week. Sadly, the online bookings may be refunded minus a small booking fee but we are yet to look into this. We have already booked an alternate date in early November to hold our much anticipated community movie night. We sincerely hope this will be a shining light at the end of what will no doubt be a long and unusual winter ahead. Thank you so much for understanding the difficult decision we felt we needed to make. It wasnt made lightly. There are uncertain times ahead but we feel very confident that if we support our school, follow the guidelines we are given and support our community, it shall only make us stronger. Your P&C Executive Committee

06.01.2022 The 5th DUCKs Dads and Kids Camp was a raging success on Friday night. Perfect weather conditions made for good camping, awesome free ranging play, camp fire roasted marshmallows and of course the raging Silent Disco! 03.01.2022 It will probably come as no surprise to you that we are cancelling the DUCKs re launch scheduled for tomorrow night. The Fathering Project are cancelling all of their talks for the foreseeable future. Obviously we are disappointed, but in the current climate it would be unwise to push on with such an event. Like most things, DUCK's events will be put on the back burner for now. But expect them to back bigger and better than ever when the world returns to normal. cheers... Dave See more
