19.01.2022 Oh that last glaze firing the night before our online sale. Almost everything is finished except these last few things that Ive I made. There is 7 very cool pumpkins and some classically beautiful planters in this load. It took more than 90 hours to make these treasures. The kiln is only half full but I just have to have some pumpkins in the sale since its spring. Lets cross our fingers for a successful firing. These beauties will come out of the kiln at lunch time tomor...row so will be posted in the afternoon for sale. I have no idea which will and which wont survive the firing. 18.01.2022 I think by the end of this weekend I will have a good crop of pumpkins. I use a combination of clay slip & slabs to make these they sadly have a high failure rate and crack easily so have to make twice as many

06.01.2022 What a lovely little crop of pumpkins. These are all super cute fairy house lanterns, except the large one in the back and its a pumpkin treasure chest why???? Why not Pumpkins make me smile. Combining slip and slabs means high risk of cracking due to uneven shrinkage, so not all will survive the drying and firing process but those that do will be just a little bit special.

02.01.2022 Good Morning my friends wishing you a beautiful week. Baz and I are about to go get busy sorting, packing and invoicing from our online sale. Once again thank you all so much for the incredible support it truly is amazing. We are a day late with our packing and invoicing this week as we have just finished the most crazy busy week. We had our beautiful grandson stay over the weekend, had 2 new eastern grey Kangaroo Joey babies join our wildlife carer family, and have had the ...pleasure of Betty a beautiful friend, mentor and an incredibly talented porcelain and mixed medium artist stay with us for the past week. We have learned so much and so many porcelain and form making techniques and now my creative mind is just about exploding wanting to get busy pottering up a storm. Betty also taught me to make sour dough bread which I love so and its all going to be keeping myself busy once the sale packing and invoicing is completed. I love to share my skills with others and how amazingly incredible is it to be the student when such a knowledgeable artist is so willing to share their creative skills. So many positive things to focus on life can be so beautiful. See more
