15.01.2022 Registration for the ATQ Selections Event on 2 June 2019 is now live at http://internetentries.com Remember, if you are interested in competing at the Australi...an Taekwondo National Championships at the Gold Coast on 6-8 September, you must qualify through this State selection event. Registrations will close on 26 May, so get those entries in! Players not intending to go to Nationals are more than welcome to participate in a tournament with Queensland's best TKD athletes. In the interests of developing a well-prepared State team, the ATQ Board strongly encourages all athletes intending to represent QLD at Nationals, to enter and compete in as many tournaments as possible between now and September.

11.01.2022 Update As a result of a fresh direction by our Prime minister, all inside classes are now limited to one student per 4 square metres. Our venues are between 110 to 150 square metres. As a result we have decided that we will limit all classes to maximum 20 students. The first 20 will be allowed to train, unfortunately any students after this will not be able to train for health reasons. ... This does not affect Our Coomera sessions as this is now being held outside in open air and our classes are smaller. Remember to wash your hands well prior to, during and after class. If you are feeling unwell please stay home and get better.

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone Please see below about changes to training. At Helensvale and Coomera We will be limiting sparring and not sharing pads for the time being . All after school taekwondo has been cancelled at AB Paterson effective immediately . Please stay home from training if your unwell and practice good hand washing / sanitiser :)

04.01.2022 Classes resume today at Helensvale church in the carpark. As restrictions were lifted further we can now take more than 9 students - if you would like to book in for these classes please call Mr Harlick to secure your spot. There is still a maximum number we are allowed to have so please do not just show up. The classes this week are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 345-445pm starting today. At this stage All Normal Classes will resume at the beginning of Term 3. Please refer to your emails for more information.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to our 4 competitors who headed up to the first Sunshine Coast open yesterday! Was a great little tournament and their first one to start the year! Kayaan won gold in his fight. Ruby won her first fight to advance to the gold medal fight but unfortunately pulled out due to injury- she came home with silver.... Oliver had a tough fight with 2 black belts in his division - unfortunately lost his fight by 2 - coming home with bronze. Lachlyn took home Bronze in his Poomsae ! Well done Guys!!!

03.01.2022 DAY 2! What an action packed 2nd day of the Gold Coast open!! I’m sure there are a few people that have lost their voice!! Today the Edge team came away with 1 Gold 4 Silver ... 3 Bronze Some of these fights were very very close and everyone fought so well. So proud of you all....Rest up Guys. 03.01.2022 CLASSES RESUME BACK THIS WEEK!!! Helensvale classes Now that restrictions are easing, we will be back in the Helensvale Community Centre. Please note we are still in the same place, however just a different room. The halls have changed slightly and are listed below: ... Tuesday 4:45pm 5:45pm North Hall (Usual Hall) Wednesday 5pm 6pm South Hall Thursday 5pm 6pm South Hall AB Paterson classes We are commencing back in Term 3 with all classes from the first week. Tuesday 3:30 4:30pm Wednesday 3:30 4:30pm Thursday 3:30 4:30pm Highland Reserve Classes With some restrictions still in place at the Childcare Centre, we are not yet permitted to operate under the current restrictions, however a further update will be given after the Directors meeting on July 25th. Hopefully, we will be able to commence classes in the middle of the term. NEW VENUE Super Performance centre (southport) We are partnering with Super Performance Centre in Southport to provide classes in their Brand New Centre in the Southport Park Shopping Centre.
