02.01.2022 I caught up with a teacher I worked with years ago and she told me of her distress at having a new garden worker coming into the kids garden and completely changing it, not speaking to anyone about the history of the garden and the design. The kids initial design was changed-gone was the love heart garden in memory of a teacher, gone were all the garden shapes that represented what was important to the students. PLEASE NEW GARDEN EDUCATORS/workers be mindful of what you are taking over and speak with locals, teachers, students and learn the history of the space before making decisions. Every Edible school gardens was designed by the students for the students and they respected and loved their school garden. A garden is not just food, it also feeds your heart and pride.
