21.01.2022 Attended the launch of Elders: Perspectives of Ageing exhibition at The Centre Beaudesert where our film is being screened amongst some wonderful artworks by 17 other artists until September. Was invited to be part of the In Conversation panel discussion. Surprise treat was catching up with Geraldine Page eldest sister of Stephen and David, who gave the welcome to country. Fab to have Helen Male one of the film's featured dancers join us, she even had her portrait drawn. The exhibition will next be presented at Arts Ablaze Regional Arts Conference & Festival in October.

16.01.2022 I love this photo. Earlier this year when we just started making the film, local paper Noosa Today did a story about it and featured Jack and Jonny’s roles in the film. They took this stunning photo of them and I have to agree that Rob Maccoll deserves this award. I think you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful photo of an elderly couple. Unfortunately my photo of the newspaper clip does not do it justice.

11.01.2022 Sad news today that Val Taylor, one of the featured dancers in In a Different Space died on Monday. Val was a beautiful soul, kind, generous and had a wonderful sense of humour. She loved dancing. She will be missed. RIP Val I took these photos during the filming of Val’s vignette, ‘Smocker’

10.01.2022 What an honour to have our film conclude the Legacy Film Festival of Aging, San Francisco! Just received this lovely email from Sheila the festival’s Executive Director As you can see on our website, we made your wonderful film the concluding film (CODA) for the 2019 LFFOA! It followed an 80-min wonderful documentary about the friendship of two wonderful musicians. Before and after we screened your film, I read some of your comments regarding the origins of some of the dance...rs’ movements. It added much to the understanding of events or activities that we were not aware of: i.e., the women with suitcases (bombings in London or UK), ‘smocking’ (embroidery), and many other important tidbits. We thought we would go right to the ‘bubbly’, toasting our 2019 festival, but the audience demanded their response to your film. They absolutely loved it! They were inspired by it! They want to dance! Itwas wonderful! Thank you, and Best wishes for the end of the year, and 2020!!! 04.01.2022 Just received an email from Brewhouse Arts Centre in the UK - they screened In A Different Space at their annual celebration of International Day for Older People last October. Great to hear how the film has been received. Hi Gail We wanted to say a huge thank you for letting us share your ‘In A Different Space’ Film at our New Generation Event in October 2018. The film was very much enjoyed by the audience. The ‘Loss and Found’ piece particularly touched people and my perso...nal favourite is still ‘Beat Boy’ and his very impressive tap dancing. Your film was such a great addition to our showcase, it was great to have an international aspect to the day. Big thanks to you again, Catherine and the Brewhouse See more
