24.01.2022 What an incredible weekend just gone with the Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament run across Melbourne! With 1421 teams and 13,314 players playing 4,4...35 games across 141 courts it makes the tournament the LARGEST in the Southern Hemisphere! 19.01.2022 Not so long ago, we thought it wasn’t going to happen! Well, with many clubs/associations having been back for 3-4 weeks, basketball is back and so is the Eltham-Dandenong Tournament! Team registrations are now open at the link below and can be completed by individual teams. Whether you’re a Championship or Domestic team - your time is now! We’ve shortened the tournament, running it from Sunday 24th to Tuesday 26th with each team guaranteed 3 games to a max of 5. Note that yo...ur game on Monday 25th will be limited to the late afternoon/evening due to being a work day. No team registration fee - that’s right! $40 per player and that covers the player, all spectators, with no further costs. What a way to start 2021!

06.01.2022 Over the weekend, we emailed club and team contacts that the 2021 Eltham Dandenong Junior Tournament will proceed from Sunday 24th to Tuesday 26th January 2021. Details were sent to clubs as to strategies we are implementing to minimize risks for COVID. We’re anticipating VJBL will be played on the Friday, whilst the majority of associations would like to have their domestic games played on that Saturday, so we’ve tried to work in with programs there. ... The Monday will be treated as a work day, with games played in the late afternoon/evening. Teams will have a guaranteed 3 games plus finals. We’ve reduced this from the normal guarantee of 5, in the interests of not overloading athletes upon their return to basketball. Entry costs will be reduced to reflect this. Registrations will open shortly and we’ll share further information as it is finalized. Enjoy your return to basketball, we can’t wait to see you!
