25.01.2022 Well written article on learning the lessons from the lockdown. Let's make the most of what remote teaching and learning has taught us. "To thrive in this new world, encouraging entrepreneurialism and using skills such as problem-solving, critical, creative and agile thinking, independent learning, along with the use of relevant information and digital technologies, will be crucial." How do we incorporate more of those skills in our teaching practices? ... https://is.vic.edu.au//learning-the-lessons-of-the-lockdo/

25.01.2022 We always say how important it is for teachers pedagogy to be student-centered and not teacher-led. I was once told at the early stage of my teaching that as a teacher, we should not lead and speak for more than 20% of the lesson. Here are 15 examples of student-centered teaching with some very good ones such as : "Collaborating with students to create the rubric or scoring guide instead of Handing students a rubric or scoring guide, Framing learning in terms of process and... growth and purpose instead of Framing learning in terms of letter grades and certificates and completion...". https://www.teachthought.com//15-examples-student-centere/

23.01.2022 As we start going back to schools, it will soon be time to reflect on what we have learnt from remote teaching and learning and what we can take away with us to improve our teaching pedagogy going forward. "Everyone has an opinion on remote learning." An interesting read incorporating teachers points of view. https://thenewdaily.com.au//05/07/teachers-online-learning/... #teachingonline #education

15.01.2022 Remember as a teacher, we are always learning. Remote learning definitely has taught us a lot, from how to engage students remotely, to how to use technologies in different ways, how to support students online etc. Lets pause for a minute and think about what we will keep in our teaching practices once schools go back to a more normal state.

11.01.2022 After teaching online for a few days at the end of term 1, I found this tip very useful as this is something I certainly did not start with doing, making sure to teach small parts at a time: " Good digital teaching is about dividing learning into smaller and specific parts, and ensuring that some of the teaching is in real time and interactive." https://bit.ly/3aPDHWR... #onlineteaching #teaching #education
