23.01.2022 At last a step in the right direction to improve accountability and transparency in Local Government in Queensland. https://www.lgaq.asn.au//-/new-local-government-legislatio

21.01.2022 Yet another change to the SCC 2014 Planning Scheme. Check out planned infrastructure for the EDV area. Zip except for parks in the Verrierdale area. Also note EDV area was not included in the majority of projections. Reminds me of a certain advertisement by Tourism Australia a few years back that was a spectacularly controversial flop. ... https://www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au//Local-Government-Inf

11.01.2022 Disregard of the town plan by planning portfiolio head Christian Dickson, and disregard of his constituents by Division 9's Steve Robinson. Cr Ted Hungerford spoke of the precedent approval of this proposal would set. Now it's done - Watch out Noosa Hinterland! https://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au//opinion-ya/3448256/

08.01.2022 Prescribed burn in the Weyba Nature Refuge today by Noosa Council may cause some smoke hazards especially on Walter Hay Drive - watch out Doonan Verriedale peeps.

08.01.2022 Community appeal to fight Sekisui development at Yaroomba. Donate to protect our town plan. Development Watch has estimated that the costs of appealing the SCRC’s decision re Yaroomba Beach could exceed $350,000. They have used the example of 3,500 people contributing $100 to achieve this funding requirement. Of course smaller (or larger!) amounts are welcome. ... Alternatively you can set up an automatic regular payment of a smaller fortnightly amount to assist in this campaign. I know that we are all constantly being asked for money for good causes but this appeal is a vital and realistic attempt to protect our Planning Scheme and that has relevance across our whole local government area. We must support Development Watch and our other member organisations involved in this appeal. To make a donation into the special account setup for this purpose use the following details: Bank: Bank of Qld Account name: Development Watch BSB: 124079 Account: 22810131 Reference: Your name

07.01.2022 Is voting in favour of the Sekisui proposal at Yaroomba the act of a man who intends to stand again for re-election in 2020? https://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au//neighbours/3452918/

04.01.2022 This CCC probe into Moreton Bay RC means four of the biggest metropolitan local governments in south-east Queensland, representing a total population of about 1.5 million people, are now the subject of corruption investigations.

04.01.2022 Fantastic to see many members of community and the volunteer groups who represent our interests at this rally on Saturday. Well done Sunshine Coasters!

02.01.2022 This rally is sure to get a good turn out both from the community at large and a broad cross section of groups representing the coast community. Make sure you along to stand up for your rights!
