25.01.2022 Free Waste Disposal Weekends Throughout the year, Council hosts Free Waste Disposal Weekends, allowing members of the community to dispose of larger household items such as mattresses, refrigerators and other large whitegoods and furniture items, free of charge. This is for residential properties only and does not extend to tyres, commercial waste, construction and demolition waste.... 23.01.2022 HYDRO POOL RE-OPENS THIS WEDNESDAY Edward River Council is pleased to advise our Hydro Pool will re-open this week, with Covid restrictions in place. Opening hours are:... Monday to Friday 7am to 8am Monday and Wednesday 6pm to 7pm Tuesday and Thursday 1pm to 2pm Friday 3pm to 4pm Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 2pm and 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Please note - the pool will be closed this Wednesday 6pm to 7pm only. Covid restrictions: 8 patrons per session Patrons may use changerooms but only three people per changeroom are permitted at any time. NSW Health recommends showering at home. Patrons must pre-book for all sessions. Entry conditions include signing in with a phone number. Contact our Pool Manager, Katrina Ives on 0413 500 809

Please ensure you pay your rate instalment amount by this date. If you believe you will be unable to make payment by the due date, please contact Edward River Council on (03) 5898 3000 prior to the due date to discuss payment options.



20.01.2022 Whilst the kids love story time at the Deniliquin Library, did you know the Library is also home to Council's Customer Service Centre? Whilst development works are underway at the Civic precinct, Edward River Council's Customer Service Centre will be located at the Library and is open Monday to Friday 10:00am until 16:00pm.

18.01.2022 * Planned roadworks notice * Sloane Street, between Junction Street and Crispe Street will have shoulder, kerb and gutter reconstruction work in the first week of October. The road will remain open, with minor disruptions to traffic expected.

05.01.2022 The footpath between the Cressy Street pedestrian crossing and Edwardes Street, is scheduled to be asphalted over two mornings. On Monday 28 September asphalt will be installed along the shop fronts. These asphalt works are planned to commence at 6am and be completed by 10am, so that disruptions to businesses and residents are minimised. On Tuesday 29 September asphalt will be placed on the footpath near the kerb, with minimal impact to pedestrians. ... Please note that pedestrian management will be in place at this time to guide pedestrians around the worksite. Many businesses in this section also have rear access, such as Nextra Newsagency and South West Music, or side access such as Westpac and Devour cafe. The Cressy Street road, between Napier and Edwardes Street, is then scheduled to be asphalted on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October. Please note that these dates are subject to fine weather.

04.01.2022 This year Council received over $115,000 in applications for our annual Community Grants program. 14 community groups will benefit from the $40,000 available including sporting groups, the arts, health and aged care and environment groups. Thank you to all who applied.

03.01.2022 All footpath asphalt work on Cressy Street has now been completed and the footpath is back open at both ends. The next step is to prepare to pave along the footpath. This work has commenced at the Napier Street end and it is quite a loud process. The contractor is managing pedestrian movements around the area and aims to have it completed as quickly as possible to minimise disruption. ...
