22.01.2022 Well we didn't have the most successful trip to Fraser Island. Our two weeks on the island turned out to be some of the worst weed wise. We barely saw a patch of weed free water and when we did it was in terrible (no gutter) areas. Below photo was of one of the few times we managed to fish. Spotted a weed free patch, two fish in 15mins and then the weed rolled in :( The tailor were about and we could see big fish from Indian head but just not our year this year. Looks like a lot of good fish caught in August and early September and a few good ones again now with reports of minimal weed. If you are heading over shortly good luck!

19.01.2022 Patrick "Paddy" Lovekin's mate Craig caught this beauty of a Spanish using live tailor last night. Also said weed seems to be getting better north of Happy Valley. What's more he got this absolute ripper of a tailor too! Seems like he was more effective than the effective fishing teams recent efforts which were severely hampered by the recent weed invasion. Anyone else having more luck than we did?

12.01.2022 A little something for eveyrone. Mackerel off the beach, monster shark, good feed of tailor and hugging a baby shark goodbye before swimming him off! Nothing better than catching great fish off the beach, and all possible because of effective fishing slides and rigs. 10.01.2022 A nice haul from an Effective fishing follower Brodie Bennett, 32 fish in 45mins near the maheno! Who else has been smashing the fish lately? Edit: Just to be clear, the team at Effective Fishing fully supports fishing within bag and size limits and in no way do we support those who take under size fish or over the limit. As has been pointed our correctly, the bag limit for tailor is 20, and there is only one person in the photo... however there was also someone taking the photo... which would immediately allow the pair up to 40 fish. Throw in another couple of friends and their bag limit is now 80. Get off your high horse and just be happy for some fellow anglers.
