23.01.2022 Hi All, Just making everyone aware of a new Private Certification business 'Rural Cert' that has started at Glen Innes, but will also be serving the Tenterfield and surrounding New England Area, this basically gives people an alternative to using Council for Inspection/Certification services for any building/development projects, some projects (such as sheds, extensions and new dwellings that meet all the requirements that allow them to be assessed as Complying Development) are able to be dealt with directly through a private certifier, without having to engage Council. See attached brochure outlining their services and fees. Take note of the fact they can deliver 'Same Day Approvals'.
23.01.2022 For anyone with an interest in Residential Subdivision or Multi-Residential Development (Duplex, Secondary Dwelling etc.) in the Tenterfield RU5 Village zone, TSC is proposing to double their fees on developer contributions (from $12,000 to $23,009 per development) . Have a look at the below page, Councils website and make a submission, before Friday 05 June 2020. Development of this nature has basically ceased in Tenterfield over the previous years due to the current costs of the contributions making it financially unviable for most developments, doubling these fees is only going to make things worse.

19.01.2022 After 3 months of waiting, I now have an 'Open' Class Building Designers Licence through the QLD Building & Construction Commission, Allowing me to now offer services to QLD as well as NSW.
