25.01.2022 Another daily driver ready to tear up the track!! We recently finished up this 2018 Ford Mustang with the 5.0L V8 and 10 Speed auto ready for a few upcoming track days. Anyone that knows these Mustangs knows their shortcomings when taken to a track. They are a good quality package, they just get too hot too quick, don't handle that great and with the 10 speed auto, leave a bit to be desired in drivability. 19.01.2022 To say that the last few days have been a little overwhelming is a bit of an understatement. It seems that someone plonking an LS1 into a Bobcat has caused quite a stir. The post has taken on a life of its own with an organic reach of the likes that our humble business has never seen. With what can only be described as an overwhelmingly positive response, we figured that we would answer a few of the questions that have been raised by a few people. ... Before all of that, to all of our new followers, the people who have commented, liked, shared and spoken about this little project, welcome and thankyou. Firstly and most importantly, although we would love to take credit for every part of this job, the mad scientist with both the Bobcat and the idea is Adriaan of Adriaans Restorations. All of you should head on over to his page and check it out as he does some amazing work and is responsible for a big chunk of the engineering, brainstorming and metal work on this monster. Along with this there are some great Australian ingenuity behind all of it with some great Australian companies. Now to answer a few questions that have been raised: 1. "The engine isnt done and its not hooked up, its just sitting there." The engine is not just sitting in there. The engine is mounted and connected to the hydraulic pump. In the pictures you all correctly noted that the exhaust just tacked in place. It is now all welded up and looking good. 2. "It will blow the thing apart." As a lot of you have pointed out, yes, a fire breathing 7,000RPM LS1 on the limiter will make mince meat of the pump internals. We have thought of all of this and have a solution. 3. "Why?" This may be the biggest question. Aside from the obvious "why not?" and the fact that it hasnt been done before (Happy to be proven wrong on this front), the big one is cost. To rebuild the original engine starts getting a little excessive. By going this route we believe (and please understand we still dont know for sure), that this becomes a more cost efficient solution. 4. "Is it running?" no, its not. We are looking at getting it fired up either just before Christmas or early in the new year, time permitting. We have solutions for most, if not all of the remaining jobs and we are pressing on. 5. "You will be able to move stuff in no time flat." Not true, the engine only runs the hydraulic pump. Therefore, it will be no faster or anything than a normal one. It will however, sound amazing while doing the same job!!! 6. "Videos or it didnt happen". Soon. As soon as its running there WILL be a video (or many). So stay tuned as we will have more updates as we go along and we will keep all of you at the forefront while we do.

This is what can only be described as an answer to the timeless line of "why boys/men should be supervised at all times". But this will be no show pony, oh no. This is/will be a fully working and functional piece of equipment with full functionality. This crazy, hairbrained idea stemmed from a thought by one of our good friends at the shop. 18.01.2022 With 12 Hour behind us it was straight back into it to finish of a bit of a project we have had on the go recently. This ZL1 Camaro came to us for some serious upgrades to make it race track ready ontop of its already pretty impressive mods Custom Pinnacle engine oil and transmission/diff cooler kits... Custom catch can system and rocker cover modifications Forced Induction Interchillers blower spacers and lid spacer Forced Induction Interchillers EMP intercooler pump Custom -16 Speedflow Australia braided lines Modified & strengthened intercooler brick. Custom Pinnacle spec ice tank in boot Battery relocation A set of custom MCA Suspension Red Series coilovers with a custom race spec alignment done by us DBA - Disc Brakes Australia upgraded 2 piece brake rotors @Goodridge LTD@goodridgeltd braided brake lines Martini Racing Products RF700 Competition brake fluid All of this plus a host of other little tricks and this is now a menace for the road and track. Once we finished all of the work we strapped it to the dyno for a tidy up and got 470rwkw repeatably out of it with a mountain of torque. Then it was off to the track for yesterday. 12.01.2022 Wheel Wednesday // Camaro ZL1 // Forgeline GS1R With tracks starting to open up we figured we better come back swinging. So weve fitted up this ZL1 we have been helping develop with some serious track boots. With the help of our partners Harrop Engineering & FORGELINE we strapped on a set of their forged race wheels in 19x11 at the front & 19x12 at the back, in a sinister gunmetal grey.... But as we know, wheels are only half the story, so then we called on Trofeo Motorsport & Pirelli Motorsport for a set of Trofeo R tyres in equally massive 305/30 19 fronts and 325/30 19 rears. Steve has been hard at work knocking up most of this car himself so we carried out a few key items to help him along: Dual fuel pump plumbing to mate up to the factory lines using @speedflowaustralia fittings... 09.01.2022 This week amongst our race prep we had Dave bring down his VF SS for some love. Dave also owns a very nice Harley so we had to make sure his other ride lived up to that, but also be subtle when he goes to work early in the morning. With that in mind we fitted it up with one of our power packs, which includes: VCM Performance OTR intake bundle... Extracted Performance Exhausts headers and cats Extracted Performance 3" custom cat back exhaust system HP Tuners tune All of this netted a final dyno figure of 244rwkw which was a 54rwkw gain with much better drivability. We have been out at Sandown for the last few days for Round 1 of the Victorian State Series and with some typical "changing Melbourne conditions" we have really had our work cut out for us. We have bought quite the contingent of cars as well with 3 cars in Production Sports Cars and 1 in Improved Production.... Manny & Rick have kicked off their 2020 racing seasons in their Cup Cars and we have brought along new customer Travis with his newly aquired 997.2 Cup Car for the ride. 02.01.2022 The first PCCV Competition Sprint Day for 2020 was held on Sunday down at Phillip Island with Rick and Manny out with their 997.2 Cup Cars. 02.01.2022 When you need something nice for the weekends This gorgeous Ford Mustang is owned by one of our race drivers and he has done an excellent job in putting together an awesome cruiser for when he isn't racing around a race track. This already beautiful car has been fitted with a new 302ci crate motor, power steering and Aircon but needed some finishing touches.... So we got to work. Finished up the mechanical work completed by the customer Made a new custom 2.5" stainless exhaust incorporating some street friendly Hooker Headers Aero Chamber mufflers to suit the new headers giving just the right note and volume. Packing a 8.3L 500hp V10 and a 6 speed manual, this is a badass toy hauler and that's exactly what it's used for. One of our long term clients uses this big rig to tow his race car around and it needed some love.... So with some specially picked parts from the US, including a new upgraded clutch and clutch hydraulic system from Roe Racing it's now back as good as ever and my god is it good.
