24.01.2022 Thank you to The Arts Unit and Bangarra Dance Theatre for holding another workshop with students from East Hills Girls Technology High School. Bangarra gave the... students a choreographic task and this is what the they created. The Gymea Lily is is our totem, which Aunty Carol shared her knowledge with us. All 14 students involved in the program contributed to generating movement around the Gymea Lily, using words and imagery such as blooming, awakening, growing and extending. Year 11 Dance have also been improving their compositional skills, as this program has been integrated into their coursework. Students are currently studying Ochres by Bangarra Dance Theatre, and learning more about dance in Australia in their Core Appreciation studies. Bangarra Dance Theatre Bangarra Youth Program.

08.01.2022 On Tuesday 16th March, some of the student Senior Leaders from East Hills Girls Technology High School, together with student Senior Leaders from East Hills Boy...s High School were invited to Parliament House. The students had lunch at Parliament House with Wendy Lindsay, MP - State Member for East Hills. The students enjoyed the day and experience and were praised as being a credit to their schools.
