24.01.2022 Just some ideas of what to put in one of our raised garden bed kits.

24.01.2022 As it is the beginning of the bush fire season today in a lot of areas around Australia I thought it relevant to let people know about one of the services we do. My landscape business does bush fire hazard reduction work, but we don’t use fire, we get in and clear out most of the leaf litter and fallen branches etc around residential, commercial, and industrial properties. We usually do about a 20m - 30m boundary clear, this depends on the site itself and what other properti...es are around the site we are working on. Just remember when it comes to bush fires there are no guarantees and we do as much preventative clearing as we are allowed to and that if a bush fire comes through the property you have done as best as you can to help your property be ok. Doing it manually is a labour intensive way to do a hazard reduction preventative task but there is not a chance of it getting away from us and causing major bush fires and it’s a good environmentally friendly way to have at least less fuel for the fire to feed on. We do as much hazard reduction as we can but we can’t and don’t guarantee that your property will be safe from a bush fire. If your interested or know anyone that would be just give us a call on 0422468978. Cheers, Dean @ Watsons Landscaping. See more

21.01.2022 Well even though here at Watson’s Landscaping we have been sooo busy, it’s n nice to do a bit of work back on home soil (pun intended ). We have also quite a big announcement coming hopefully in the next few weeks about our fledgling yet slowly and well planned expanding into the Tiny home/cabin/ studio/ sleep out market. So keep an eye out for what’s coming up. We still will be doing our usual landscape construction and maintenance works, just a little something extra. Keep well, keep warm and wash your hands or just keep on gardening .

20.01.2022 This is a wonderful initiative from what I can tell is a great Aussie company. Just an additional to our raised garden beds and some other ideas as well. Cheers and happy growing

17.01.2022 Hi all I know it’s been a while but with everything that’s been happening, we have been a bit busy. So I saw this here on Facebook and I’ve posted about this couple before, from my personal experience they have been wonderful. So I thought I’d share their free veggie patch on line classes, yes there are ads but there’s also some great classes on how to help yourself grow your own food. Hope your all well ... https://www.facebook.com/1566833043612194/posts/2344908965804594/?vh=e&d=n

15.01.2022 This is from a local community page. Just thought it best to share it about in case anyone has these boards. If anyone has used Inex boards for their deck check them out and contact your builder ASAP as there potentially could be issues with your boards as there are major faults with the product. Our boards are deteriorating on top with some boards down to the mesh layer in parts and most other boards are in the early stages of this deterioration with the paint bubbling and... holes appearing that get bigger and deeper. The magnesium from the boards also leaches underneath potentially rusting/corroding the beams/structure. We noticed major issues last November to which we contacted our builder. I also contacted Ubiq the company that produced the boards but they went into liquidation last year due to the massive claims on the product from all over Australia so there's no compensation there. My understanding is you have a 6 year warranty on the "build" with your builder so make sure you get them to come and check out the boards both on top and underneath and get it sorted. Sorry to the local builders as I know this isn't your fault but it also needs to be fixed for those that had these boards installed. Because of the BAL40 and FZ ratings here many of us needed to have these boards installed as there wasn't much to choose from and now there's less. We're extremely upset about this, it's not our fault and I've spent considerable time chasing this and calls to other authorities/companies to work out where we stand to get it fixed. I just want to share what I know with others so they don't go through as much stress :) See more

14.01.2022 Well today we acquired a new price of machinery. A heavy duty commercial mower. Not only is it a wonderful machine to operate it is also very versatile in what such a big machine can do. The photos before and after and short video are of the first job we did today. So I would also like to announce that as of next week we will be also offering to do larger lawns and larger and smaller properties that just need the grass slashed down to avoid the long grass friend the Aussie ...snake. Let us know and we will see what we can do for you. Don’t forget we operate between Lapstone and Bathurst area. See more

13.01.2022 Lockdowns have coincided with the Autumn Winter produce growing period in Australia.

12.01.2022 Just had quite a few people inquiring about raised garden beds. Just letting everyone know yes we can make them from a safe social distance of course. These are examples not but our ones, ours are usually made from up cycled materials, usually reclaimed corrugated iron and disassembled pallets. We can also make them from all new materials of course, all depends on what you like . So let us know if you would like one or five or more and we will get something socially distance safe sorted. Happy planting.

11.01.2022 This is my guest at dinner this evening. Wires is such a wonderful volunteer service. If you ever find an injured animal of any sort please call (13000wires)

08.01.2022 Hi all Just wanted to say a big hello to all as we haven’t posted anything lately. We are very busy with a lot of work out west ( lithgow / Bathurst area) at the moment, but still doing quotes and keeping it local, local work is always a pleasure to do. Hope you are all safe and healthy enjoying the relaxing warmth of the log fire and embracing the invigorating fresh local air and getting out into your gardens and just enjoying the beauty that is your own back yard We will post some of our latest works soon. Take care and wash your hands

07.01.2022 Hi all I know this isn’t a landscaping post but I’m just letting you all know that I am trying to help out a local dog rescue place https://www.facebook.com/poundpatrol/... They are trying to raise some money and I have offered an 8 hour days work to be auctioned off (2 x staff for 8 hours labour only, value about $840.00.) They will let me know if they can list the offer if they get enough interest. Either way it would be good to donate $ or items to their auction site to help out such a wonderful cause like this. So I guess in a way it is sort of landscape related

06.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/526009147/posts/10160273244314148/ New video of us installing a flame zone compliant decking product from Deco Wood called deco deck, fantastic product, well worth the time effort and cost, for a beautiful, long lasting product.

06.01.2022 Makes sense to me

05.01.2022 Nearly 3 TRILLION gallons of water and 70 million pounds of pesticides are used to maintain lawns across the US every year. Do good for the planet and turn your yard into a homestead! Locally grown food is the way to go! Adapted from Grow Food, Not Lawns

01.01.2022 Get going with growing! March is a good time to plant leafy greens and brassicas! Tino shows us how.
