As were sure you are aware, there is a growing concern around the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we want to take this opportunity to let you know the steps we are taking to ensure the health and safety of everyone who comes through the doors at Albany Creek Physiotherapy. We are regularly reviewing the Department of Health Website as well as implementing the recommendations made by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. We want to assure you that were working hard to keep you safe at Albany Creek Physiotherapy and ask that you help us with some of the following: We have increased the frequency of cleaning as well as using stronger cleaning products. We are committed to hand hygiene between each client and you will find hand sanitiser dispensers throughout the practice which we encourage you to use. 06.01.2022 Happy Tuckshop Day to our wonderful staff and volunteers!

06.01.2022 Celtic Cuts Barber Shop are still open. Please support the business that support us. #supportlocal WE ARE OPEN We have 3 barbers on the tools today... New government restrictions have put a limit on how many people we can have inside the shop.... We are lucky to have a 78sqm shop so keeping the social distance is easy when you are waiting.. Due to these restrictions we have had to suspend some services. *no razor work *no facial services (beard, moustache) * only people who are having haircuts to be inside unless you have brought kids this will also minimise how many people are in the shop We do ask that if you are bringing the little kids in for their haircut, that you supervise them at all times, so please leave your phone in your pocket if they are with you, we have removed all of our toys so it makes it a bit harder to keep them in 1 seat, as when they decide to play musical chairs in the shop it makes the waiting time longer as we have to sanitise the chairs more!! I dont like to state the obvious but If you are sick or feeling unwell stay at home. If you have been overseas in the last 2 weeks stay at home. If you dont have good personal hygiene, stay at home. If everybody could also please come with clean washed hair, we would appreciate it as if the hair is dirty we will have to wash it ourselves and it will be $5 extra. I think that just about covers it. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. But if we are to remain open and stay employed we need everyone to do their bit by staying clean and following the above. Stay safe, clean and be kind to one another and well all get through this together

01.01.2022 Eatons Hill SPACE Carnival 2020 In light of the current situation with COVID19 and after considering all options and following Government guidelines and advice, we would like to keep the best interest of our community at heart. Regrettably, the Eatons Hill State School P&C ,SPACE Carnival Committee and the school leadership team have decided to cancel the SPACE Carnival for 2020. We understand that this event is much looked forward too by the students and wider community, bu...t we feel it is the right thing to do at this time. Whilst unfortunately the carnival will not go ahead, we would like to encourage you to support our local businesses. The support each year that we receive from our local businesses and families is overwhelming and without them the Carnival would not be able to go ahead. That given it is important in these times to support these businesses. Shop local, support the business that support us they would really appreciate it. We look forward to the carnival returning in 2021 See more

01.01.2022 Dear Parents Yesterday we had over five times the normal number of students away from school as more parents chose to enact their own family safety plans. To s...upport these growing numbers, class teachers have initiated their remote learning processes. At this stage it is expected that they will simply share the same activities that are being completed at school. The Queensland Teachers Union and the Queensland Government are currently in negotiations regarding future school closures. The QTU is advocating for closures to occur from tomorrow, Wednesday 25 March. Further discussions between the two parties will be held today. The National Cabinet will also meet tonight. It is possible that announcements regarding school operations will be made following that meeting. Yesterdays closure of social venues sends a clear message to the community that social contact must be avoided wherever possible. Government messaging has included: Non-essential travel should be avoided and people are encouraged to remain in their local area. Please take this advice seriously. As you to take responsibility for your own familys safety at this critical time please consider how you can minimise close social contact with others in your daily life. This is particularly important for older members of your extended family or those with existing health conditions. Hugh Goodfellow- Principal
