22.01.2022 Did you know that there is concrete evidence that a leadership approach that balances warmth and strength gets better results? A 2018 study cited in the Harvard Business Review article, ‘Does Your Leadership Style Scare Your Employees?’, explains that managing employees with pressure tactics results in more than a 90% increase in the predicted turnover of employees. Using more inspirational tactics translated roughly to a 68% decrease in likely turnover. To produce results,... leaders not only need to bring their best self to the role, but they need to adopt leadership behaviours that build trust and connection, as well as demonstrate strength and warmth. Have you witnessed how pressure tactics have encouraged employees to leave? Or perhaps even left a job yourself for this reason? I’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below! https://sheilawherry.eiexecutive.com.au/ThePinnacleofPresen
