25.01.2022 Authentic. Such a vague term UNTIL we put it into context. An authentic brand is all about being transparent, supportive AND trustworthy towards your audience! Authenticity creates connection. Connection drives sales, trust me! But how you ask? . Be transparent | Share every aspect of your brand. Share your process with your audience rather than just the finished product. Take them on the journey!... . Supportive | Think about your audience as a community, how can you continually support their needs AND wants? What problem are you trying to solve with your product or service and how do you promote it WITHOUT constantly being ‘salesy’? . Stand by your brand promise | Don’t make one you can’t keep! Always deliver so that trust is built. . Values | Stand by your brand values internally AND externally. Brand values attract like-minded people to your brand, they create honest connections! Have you applied these aspects to your brand? How consistent are you with these things? #eksandoh

21.01.2022 It is still okay to show up online with your strategy and content as planned when a crisis is happening #truthbomb I have had a number of clients ask me, and seen a few posts on #LMBDW asking the question "how do I show up right now?". Firstly, I want to say that I was mixed about whether or not to answer this so publicly, but I want to always be my best and serve our community when I can... The bushfires around Australia are so incredibly devastating, like beyond wor...ds and affecting everyone in some way. It is honourable the way our Aussie community is rallying together to support those impacted #proudaustralian Because of the media coverage, it's all we might be seeing in our newsfeed, on stories... everywhere. And so it SHOULD! However, once we have acknowledged this devastation, I do believe it is okay to move forward with your content and your business as planned for 2020. Launch your business, sell your services, promote your products. Please don't allow this to stop you from showing up, especially if it means you would be impacting your own financial situation if you were not to continue with business as usual. I've donated everything we can to these fires right now, as I know many of you are. But that does not mean I'll continue talking about it in every post. I acknowledged it yesterday, and proud I did, but I'm also trying to move forward. I, like you feel some sense of guilt that we have not been living this tragedy. But I also listened to @the_abundance_hub_podcast yesterday and it taught me that it is still okay to feel joy, to continue life as normal. I hope you can feel that this post is coming from a good place See more

20.01.2022 How much time do you allow your audience to see the value in what you’re selling? Do you post something one day in hope that it sells out the next? Really stop and think about it We are all about education, teaching your audience to see the value in what you’re selling, whether it be a set of brows or a product. And here’s why you should be too Your promotion should have at least a four week lead time (formally known as a marketing campaign). Allowing your audience to ...have not only your offer, but understand your business and how you add value. There are literally millions of readily available, competing information that we all consume on a daily basis. So, our advice is that the lead time is a crucial step in how successful our campaign will be! Know your target audience! This helps us understand what buying stage they may be at and how they view what you’re selling. Educate! Why would anyone purchase something from you if they don’t know what it’s going to do for them or cannot see it adding value to their life Typically, they wouldn’t! You MUST educate your audience in WHY they need what is on offer - hint: this is all about them and not about you, your business, or your brand. Be organised! Generally, the more organised and more accountable we are, the more successful we are. We strongly recommend you plan out 6-12 months worth of offers. Don’t let this overwhelm you, it’s simpler than you think. But this gives you an opportunity to highlight holidays, afterpay sales, and more. Need a hand in planning your marketing campaign? Let’s chat! #eksandoh

19.01.2022 Don't be in such a rush to figure everything out. Embrace the unknown and let life surprise you! I love watching someone's process - to see them grow and evolve! it's much more authentic and engaging than saying "look at this perfect thing I created" making out like it was easy peasy and not bloody hard work! Day after day we hesitate to share - because we don't have it all finished, or we don't look our best, or we haven't figured out how it will work... Embrace the process, and take people on the journey with you! What can you share today that is a little more raw and real than usual? You never know... it might lead to something you haven't figured out yet, something better than you could even imagine! #eksandoh

17.01.2022 There’s been Social Media radio silence from me (and my team) lately as we’ve been working on some exciting things for our clients and expanding our services! We now offer services including Social Media strategy, management and advertising, website design, eDMs and graphics, SEO and Google management. Jumping all in with some of our clients and managing digital marketing as a whole and all pieced together - which we have LOVED! But managing that along with a few team memb...ers and mum life - has been a juggle that I am still adjusting to. Probably will be for a little while! BUT! I attended the @minding.her.business event yesterday and my gosh it was so nice to meet so many incredible women who either are in the startup phase of business or who have had their business for a few years and are wanting to scale. Making it happen for themselves and breaking this ‘working 9-5’ mentality I think in a digital world, where everything is IG perfect and businesses are developing every single day, it is so nice to still go back to basics and connect with like-minded people who work hard but are also so incredibly humble and want to learn as much as they can! I can confirm that I will be asking some of my clients to attend the next event with me - because I honestly have such an amazing relationship with my clients and my business wouldn’t exist without them so we all need to feel inspired together and be on the journey together. Who agrees? #eksandoh #mhbtribe

17.01.2022 You Instagram account is not actually about YOU It's about your audience! So, what's your angle? How is your page and your content going to get people to come back and convert into customers or paying clients? They don't care what day it is - this type of content is dead and pointless. Don't post unless it is part of your strategy, as it all needs to have a direction so that your audience is continually attracted to you and your business. The first step is to get thei...r attention! Create content with them in mind, and then create a caption that is immediately going to grab their attention! Your opening sentence. Your HOOK! The aim is to get people to stop, click, leave a comment, feel relatable, to learn... to really ENGAGE with your content. These are the metrics that matter to me. How many comments, how many saves and how many people are clicking through to the website. Some examples of a banging opening caption: Start with a question that your audience might need answering Start with a fact Say something controversial that might spark discussion - make sure however that your statement is fair! Make a statement that you believe wholeheartedly When writing, ask yourself - what would your audience click on? What would make you (as the customer) stop the scroll? #eksandoh See more

17.01.2022 Have you got your SM content all planned out and scheduled for over the break? Trust me, this IS the season you want to show up on socials, regardless if you are taking a break or not. By all means, give yourself some well deserved time off, i'll be doing a bit of a digi-detox myself. BUT with all the people having some time off, and my experience from the last few years - this is one of the most engaging times of year because everyone will be spending some time windi...ng down online. It's all about showing up consistently for your community and not breaking that momentum that you (or we) have worked so hard to build this year! You can reduce the amount of times you post for example if you post daily you can shift to 3-4 times per week - but trust me scheduling and planning your content is GOLD! Spend a few hours preparing it now, so you can enjoy some time off. Just remember to still check in for engagement! You ARE a human and connecting with your audience matters, every day of the week. My last 'offical' two days of work for the year and our team is SUPER busy planning out the next few weeks for all our clients! TBH - by this time tomorrow i'll be out of creative juices haha! #eksandoh See more

15.01.2022 My clients will tell you that the one main thing I am anal about... CONSISTENCY! Consistency across your: Branding Visuals and Images Colour schemes Brand voice and personality... Values and messaging ...aka TONE OF VOICE! These elements help to create a unique identity for your business. Helping your audience to easily identify you, connect with you and recognise your content instantly. If you are always chopping and changing your brand colours, theme, the way you write and how you deliver your message then your audience will feel lost and confused and not understand what you are presenting to them. This type of consistency is the starting point, always! Why? Because once you are consistent, you build trust, create connection and build loyalty! My favourite examples of fantastic tone of voice: Go-To Skin Care Virgin Australia and Frank Body No matter if they are posting to social, getting featured on the side of a bus or having a staff member deal with you directly - they deliver what's important to the brand. Have a think about it... Are you consistent with your brand? What can you improve in order to build more trust and recognition with your community? #eksandoh

14.01.2022 Try turning your 'I HAVE to' into 'I GET to', and see how your whole perspective can flip! Truth bomb: lately, I keep having days where I get into a funk. Things have been going so well for me and my little team, that I get super overwhelmed and then feel lots of pressure and expectation and I really struggle with believing in myself and my capabilities. Who can relate? Realistically, eksandoh was meant to be something I did when the kids were in daycare two days a we...ek and I struggle saying no, so I have been cramming about four days worth of work into those two days and a few hours every night and my gosh, it can get exhausting. But you know what completely turned my whole mindset around? Logging onto my Facebook and finding a random, lovely review left by one of my clients It was then, after reading this that I thought "I GET to help people build their dream businesses", "I GET to take a load off other people and help them", "I GET to be home with my babies, while they are little", and my most grateful thought "Huddie is doing SO well because we have time to fit in all his therapy". It really made my day Want to know how YOU can help make a small business owners' day? It's so simple! Leaving them a Facebook or Google review Shouting them out on Insty Saying THANK YOU! Telling them how much you appreciate them and thanking them for their product or service Sharing your experiences and recommending them to your friends! I can confirm, this will make a difference, it helps remind us that we are doing a good job. It helped me out of my funk and feel a sense of validation that I don't get from my non-existent boss/manager! But it also helps future clients learn about the relationship I have with my current clients - that I am SUPER proud of and the reason why I tend to dive all the way in to help them succeed! I LOVE the entrepreneurship mindset of us Millennials - we are breaking down the standard idea of 'work' and making a difference of what works for us. We are all in the game together! #eksandoh See more

12.01.2022 A little desk makeover can do wonders for your mentality and productiveness! Who agrees? I used to be *so* bad at creating a dedicated work space, we have an office, but hubby is a gamer so I always felt like I was intruding on his space if I was to work at night so would often work on my laptop in bed. I’ve recently learnt that keeping bed as your dreamy ‘wind down’ and duh, sleeping area helps your mind switch off and therefore falling asleep much easier With hubby work...ing from home the last six weeks, we (like many of you I’m sure) have been forced to find a new dynamic and work environment that works for both of us. I now have a Mac (thanks to my bro for letting me borrow his while he isn’t using it) set up, and folders for all my clients and a paper to do list and MY GOSH, it makes my work days *that* much more productive and allows me to really get into that creative zone I need to. So I wana know, is your partner working from home too and caused you to have a little refresh? Or where do you work when you’re being most productive? #eksandoh

09.01.2022 Your content matters! You can NOT get away with having shitty visuals - especially on Instagram! This is why it's important to know where your target market is 'hanging out'. Instagram is a very visual platform meaning your photos are the FIRST THING people see! Your image displays first then your caption. Whereas Facebook, your words appear first and then your image follows. Yes adding value matters. Yes creating engaging content is SO important, but they need to be in... line with your image, and they need to deliver a cohesive message. But your image needs to be eye-catching. It needs to be what is setting you apart! I really think the days where you could get away with solely reposting other peoples content is goneskies DON'T post blurry, poorly lit images. What colour scheme do you have? Is it in line with your branding and are you following it with the content you are posting? Invest in a BRANDING shoot! This will allow you to produce HIGH-QUALITY, ORIGINAL images that are delivering the exact message you want! Create your own branded graphics or quote (or meme) tiles. This is what's helping tell your story, deliver your message... It is what is helping to make you RELATABLE to your customers! This is the first thing I am saying to my clients when we begin working with each other, but it is also something that needs to be constantly refreshed. I know, personally I am put off by shitty content. What about you? #eksandoh See more

08.01.2022 Instagram bringing in some GAME changing features

05.01.2022 Just reflecting on how much has changed in 2019, both professionally and personally I have grown so much, but there is still so much more I/we can grow. Love going into the new year feeling inspired, ready to learn and work hard! A massive thank you first goes to my clients - you inspire me every single day and it is a pleasure to work with you. Secondly, I could NOT do it without my team: @hello.tara @designbyklostudios @socialdigitaldesigns you three are bloody gems and ...I wouldn’t be able to have eksandoh without you! Thank you for your kindness, your hard work and persistence with me this year. My word going into 2020: GROWTH My advice : Pay close attention to your circle and where you’re putting your energy - both professionally and personally! Happy New Year! #eksandoh

05.01.2022 Hands up if you put pressure on yourself to respond to things INSTANTLY? If it's not IG DM's, then it's comments. If it's not comments, it's emails. If it's not emails then it's FB Messages... We live in such an 'instant' society now #thanksmillennials that we have all become to accustomed to fast-paced responses and answers! I'm working really hard on creating a balance, especially because last week - my screen time was sitting at 7+ hours per DAY! Bad, I kno...w! And you deserve to give yourself a break too! Life is just busy! Everyone has shit to do and the people who 'expect' an instant response are not the kinda people I vibe with, unless of course it is urgent, the balance has to be within reason at times. Here's the thing, the world isn't going to end if you take 2 hours instead of 2 seconds to reply to a message. The enquiry you received at 9:00pm on a Saturday night probably doesn't actually expect a response right then and there - 99% of the time, they sent it because they were thinking of it, or had a spare moment. Being in the digital world, doesn't mean that you are expected to be 'ON' 24/7. Take some pressure of yourself! This is the lesson I am teaching myself this week and my mental health? SO much better for it! Especially with all this rain the GC is having and my two minis making lots of fun mess everywhere #eksandoh See more

03.01.2022 BIZ LESSON || Prioritise yourself AND your business! I fell into workhorse mode very early on, eksandoh is nearly two years old and I am beginning to drag myself out of this mode - finally! I now allocate time each week to work on my business and myself. Allowing that time and space to experiment, learn and grow makes me a better service provider to my clients AND my team, and well, hubby tells me I'm a happier person now ... So far for 2020 we have been working on - A new logo/rebrand - A new website - An online portal for our clients to ease communication and processes - A bunch of free resources ... and much more still in planning mode! Tell me, what's been your biggest lesson learned in business so far? #eksandoh See more

03.01.2022 Have you heard the news? The Instagram Creator Studio (found on Facebook, where you 'schedule' posts) have launched a new scheduling tool that lets you schedule your IG feed content PLUS IGTV videos The pro's in my opinion:... Ability to add emojis Add line (paragraph) breaks! Add Geotag location Create your carousel posts (which some third party scheduling apps don't have) Edit your images Schedule IGTV posts Cons: You can't 'plan' your feed as you can't see what your content will look like planned on a grid Access to analytics is limited to the past 7 days only You can't add a 'first comment' filled with your hashies (but you can add them to the caption, just comes down to personal preference) You can't product tag like you can for FB pages So how do you use this exciting new feature? You just need to link your insty to your FB page, and then to Creator Studio. For now, personally I'll keep on using my third part app, because I like things like product tagging and hashies neatly tucked away in first comment. BUT I am excited about this change and hoping to see it improve! If Creator Studio suits you, then go for gold! What are your thoughts on the new scheduling features? Are you going to make the switch or stay with your third party? #eksandoh See more

03.01.2022 eksandoh is officially 'back in the office' today - and when I was on break (before the new year), I was inspired and so excited to get back in... But I just can't help but to feel a little bit guilty that I am still living our very normal life while so much of Australia is suffering. We have clients who have been directly affected, with either their business or their homes getting affected, and my husband has been working tirelessly with his company Ingenia Holidays as th...eir parks on the South Coast have been affected to ensure that tourists and residents are safe... We cut our holiday short to come home because we were worried about not being able to even come home, we have donated what we can to help those who have been affected, but I have been feeling heavy and guilty because we are not affected but have been watching it all unfold... This image by Anthony Hearsey - Creative Imaging is a 3D visualisation of the fires between 05/12/19 - 05/01/20. These are all the areas that have been affected by the bushfires, please note that not all areas are still burning. Not a usual social media advice post from us, but just a post of recognition and love. Our community is amazing - we have seen that by the amount we have been able to raise through people like Celeste Barber and Sophie Guidolin raising millions to help those who have been experiencing this nightmare... We are incredibly grateful to be working with brands who are so kind and care deeply about what is happening and have been donating profits and sales to charities. My heart is breaking for those affected, our wildlife, our firefighters, our volunteers and our home, Australia We'll share a dream and sing with one voice "I am, you are, we are Australian" #prayforaustralia #australianbushfires See more

03.01.2022 The power of positivity on Social Media $4 Million in less then 24 hours and it’s still growing at an insane rate. Just AMAZING!

02.01.2022 Content Pillars - what the heck are they?! I'm so glad you asked They are a tool we use in social media that organises the 'themes' for all your content in all channels, to form the foundation of your overall content, which of course is how you are executing your strategy. You can't expect your audience to believe and TRUST in your product or service if you throw inconsistent messaging and pointless images at them can you? So, pillars are kinda a big deal!... Who is your target audience? This needs to be established before you start creating content, because your content is what helps them through the buyer journey, especially the pain points during this journey. So your content needs to address their needs and shows how you are solving their problems! It really is a simple process, I promise. By using pillars you are setting your themes in stone and creating/reposting content that addresses that theme so it is ALWAYS targeted at your audience and the problem you are trying to solve. You are ALWAYS posting with a consistent message. You are ALWAYS posting to build trust and you have a purpose for your post! #eksandoh See more
