18.01.2022 God of Good Friday, what ‘goodness’ is there in this day? What hope is there when it seems from all we can see that hope is gone, the light flickers, and we are... left alone with our fears? God, help us today to not be afraid of the darkness of this story. Help us to find the courage to sit with the truth of this day, to give space for this story to come alive in our own lives. Help us to be patient and not seek to rush towards Sunday in the hope of distracting ourselves from the ugliness and terror of this day. Help us to learn to look for you in the midst of the darkness, so that when the dawn emerges we are already held in your arms.
