24.01.2022 Happy 50th Birthday to Michelle from Lara District Community Bank Branch. We hope you have a safe and happy day

23.01.2022 Update: COGG have just advised me that our submission to open the park to clinics Etc. has been approved. Elcho Park Equestrian centre is open to the public for small groups of less than 10 people. Social distancing rules still apply. You must: 1. Supply the FOEP committee with a detailed log of all Instructors, participants and volunteers, including names and phone numbers, which would be provided to authorities in the event of a confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) case; ... 2. Require all users to sanitise their hands when entering and leaving the training arena. Regularly sanitise frequently touched equipment; 3. Stop using the facility immediately, if Restricted Activity Directions are not followed. 4. Please be aware that we will be regularly reviewing the conditions of your use. So enjoy your freedom, stay away from each other and stay safe. FOEP Committee.

21.01.2022 *** WINTER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS CLINIC*** (Provided the council restrictions on use of Elcho Park remain lifted) SATURDAY 4th and MONDAY 6th JULY 2020 (NOT Sunday 5t...h) ELCHO PARK, ELCHO ROAD, LARA DRESSAGE, SHOWJUMPING, CROSS COUNTRY Hi Guys! Due to popular demand and much pestering, I’ll be hosting a School Holiday clinic at Elcho Park on Saturday 4th and Monday 6th July (note not on Sunday 5th) provided the Geelong Council still allows access to Elcho Park. I’ll again be setting up a full competition course of showjumps and will be taking Showjumping, Cross Country and Dressage lessons, limited riders per group. Private lessons might also be available depending on demand. I’ll of course be working within the current COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions. The long range weather forecast for the three days (at this stage) looks to be okay! I mean, we won’t be getting out there in a bikini or anything, but it shouldn’t bucket down! Prices remain the same! Message me here on FB (note your message might be filtered if we’re not FB friends , so send me a friend request first ) and/or on 0427 424 222 by this Sunday, 28th June if you’d like to come along and which classes/ any time constraints, and please pass on to anyone you think might be interested in participating. Please stay at home if you feel unwell and seek medical advice if you have symptoms such as a runny nose, fever, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulties or have been in contact with someone that has COVID-19. If you have come into contact with someone who has the virus or you are concerned you may be infected, please call the Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398. Health experts advise the best way to protect yourself from coronavirus is to pay attention to good hand hygiene and good respiratory hygiene, by: * Washing hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer. * Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth. * Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow. Looking forward to getting out there and having some socially distanced and COVID-conscious fun !

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Elcho park is still closed to the public, no events or clinics are to be held unless Friends of Elcho Park have the clearance from the Government and City of Greater Geelong. We are working closely with them to see if we can open. So the park remains closed until we get a better ruling of what we can do. This is the Councils decision. We will keep you updated.... You may have heard there there is a clinic happening this weekend coming. This event is not allowed and the grounds will be policed by COGG and the police. See more

12.01.2022 CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) RESTRICTIONS UPDATE - 30 JULY Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a series of new restrictions following a rise in coronavirus cases. From 11:59pm tonight, and in the local government areas of Colac-Otway, Greater Geelong, Surf Coast, Moorabool, Golden Plains, and the Borough of Queenscliffe, residents will no longer be able to visit people or have visitors at home.... Additionally, from Sunday 2 August at 11.59pm, mandatory face coverings will now apply in regional Victoria, as well as metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire. At present, community sport and active recreation is still permissible provided the applicable health guidelines and restrictions are followed. Now more than ever, it is so important to keep on top of the most up to date information, protocols and guidelines relevant to your activity and participant age groups. Make sure proper hygiene is being followed, mask and social distancing requirements are being adhered to, and importantly, if you are sick or are showing symptoms - stay home.
