22.01.2022 We had a delicious Moroccan meal at our monthly dinner. Matt Lee, the chef did a great job.We had a choice of Marinated Lamb with Fruit Quinoa Cous Cous and Tagine of Vegetables or Moroccan Braised Chicken, Quinoa Cous Cous, Asparagus and Broccolini. Dessert was Orange Meskouta with Date Salsa, Cinnamon Cream and Pine Nut Crumble. After the main course we had a guest speaker via zoom. She was Walkley Award winning journalist Nance Haxton. 18.01.2022 Last week, it was the residents of Serene Avenue's turn to have a special dinner delivered to their units by our wonderful staff. Chiou See Anderson cooked delicious salmon coated in tea leaves and eye fillet steak topped with blue cheese. These were served with mushroom risotto and vegetables. Dana Voyle whipped up a delicious dessert of orange and almond cake!

17.01.2022 At our monthly dinner, Chiou See, presents Matt, the chef, with a gift from the residents and herself. It was a belated wedding gift. We hadn't seen Matt for months due to Covid restrictions. Chiou See also thanked the Rochedale High School Students and teachers for waiting on the tables and helping in the kitchen.

16.01.2022 Giddy Up! Elements hosted a FABULOUS Melbourne Cup Soiree, and it did not disappoint. Filled with fascinators, fashion and a delicious feast of chicken, prawns, salads and bread rolls our Village Residents and their families enjoyed the festivities in true Melbourne Cup style!

16.01.2022 HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO ELEMENTS RETIREMENT LIVING We celebrated ten years of retirement living with a birthday dinner. Our guest speakers were Chiou See Anderson (the owner) and the first residents to move in called 'The Pioneers". Speeches were given by the local member of QLD parliament - Mick de Breni, the opposition candidate - Kirrily Boulton, the Hon Gary Hardgrave and Bruce Barclay - Chiou See's business partner. It was interesting listening to the struggles and hards...hip experienced by Chiou See and her children during the early days. The pioneers too were brave to commit to buy units when the village was just an empty block of land. Once again our chefs Matt and Pozz provided us with delicious meals. We had Asian Fusion, beef fillet with tamarind miso, sesame noodles. bak choy, glazed baby carrots and green papaya salad or Chicken breast fillet in kung pat sauce with sticky rice cakes, glazed baby carrots and green papaya salad. Dessert was Chai green tea coconut panacotta with peanut salted caramel, asian pacific fruits and rosewater lychee coulis. It was delicious! And we adhered to the Industry Covid Safe Plan

16.01.2022 We have restarted our monthly dinners. The theme was Christmas in July. The meals were delicious. One of our residents was the guest speaker, who explained how Christmas is celebrated in Switzerland.

15.01.2022 Over the past 6 months, the Founder of Elements, Chiou See Anderson, has been working tirelessly in her role as the NCWQ President to lobby the Queensland government to fund endometriosis education in schools. 14.01.2022 Did you know that the Koala breeding season in South East Queensland commences in August and typically lasts until March?! During this time there is an increase in koala activity and movement and lucky for us, our village is positioned right in the heart of the Daisy Hill Conservation Park which is part of the Koala Bushland Coordinated Conservation. Our community is quite pleased to be able to call these beautiful animals our neighbours!

13.01.2022 Some of our residents love to keep busy and produce things. Over the last few weeks some of the fellows have improved the BBQ area and built a deck and a new garden. We had an opening celebration where where Chiou See thanked the residents and Alan, the instigator, cut the ribbon. Then everyone enjoyed a sausage sizzle provided by the CEO.

12.01.2022 You can't dampen the spirits of Easter Bunny and helpers at Elements Retirement Living. Morning and afternoon tea with Bunny at the BBQ areas had to be cancelled due to the rain. However, Bunny insisted on delivering eggs to all the residents. Bunny's creator, Bob Still and his helper Louise Leach, braved the weather and took Bunny around all the streets in the village and deposited eggs in the mail boxes. We have wonderful caring residents here.

10.01.2022 The Social Committee organised a Box Party. Sandra and Gwen were the instigators. It was so much fun with people swapping their boxes for presents they preferred. Trouble was that many people preferred the one present. An ugly soft toy dog was very popular and so too a lady bird garden decoration not to mention chocolates, wine and a Willy Washer. So much laughter filled the Community Centre, which has the industry Covid 19 plan in place.

09.01.2022 During Covid-19 restrictions we have been having street dinners prepared and cooked by Chiou See and her staff. Nicknamed CCC@Elements (Covid Cuisine with Chious @ Elements). It was Joy Place residents' turn to be wined and dined with Prawn Linguini in olive oil, garlic and chilli or Beef Ribs with Pappardelle in a tomato based sauce. For dessert, Poached Pears in Red Wine and Gelato. Residents joined with others in their units and waited for the staff to deliver the meals.
