25.01.2022 It's back this year! Our adult squad club champs on Saturday 5th December from 1pm to 7pm. RSVP: https://forms.gle/5sXYQXPgu3paJd7K6

24.01.2022 More results... We had our first swimmer ever swim at the State Open Water Champs in Kawana Waters on the Sunshine Coast. Well done Tahlia Hanson on finishing 8th out of 30 in the 14 yrs 2.5km swim. Great Effort!!

22.01.2022 Our annual 'Adult Squad' Club Champs kicked off last Saturday afternoon and unlike 2020 - it didn't disappoint. It was a day of rivals racing, great banter and some well-deserved awards. Thank you to all our fantastic adult squad members who attended & took part in the events. Norah took out all her female competitors to become the highest point scorer and the title of Swimmer of the Meet. She was a weapon in the water! Chelsea made a comeback to the squad after almost a year... hiatus in Victoria (good move that was!) to return after borders were open and her first stop before home, Club Champs 2020. Lachie's efforts in the open water events earlier in the year and his hard work and dedication to every swim session well & truly crowned him with the most impressive effort of the year. An amazing achievement! Reluctantly 2018 & 2019 Club Champ, Mark Sullivan conceded victory and handed over the shield to our new Club Champ for 2020 Lachlan McCarthy. He has earned the privilege to call himself "CC" for a year. Well done Lachie! Congratulations again to our award recipients: 2020 Adult Squad Champion (Club Champ): Lachlan McCarthy 2020 Swimmer of the Meet: Norah Elvidge 2020 Most Impressive Swim: Chelsea Carpenter 2020 Most Impressive Effort of the Year: Lachlan McCarthy For those who missed out this year - better start training for next year's Club Champs. See you there!

22.01.2022 Term 4 swimming starts today We are all looking forward to kicking off a fantastic summer!

21.01.2022 Harvey's First Swimming Lesson For those families who have been swimming with us at Coorparoo for a number of years, will remember Harvey as a baby at the pool and now a bright & happy 3 year old boy. It brings a tear to our eye that he is finally old enough to join the first level of our learn to swim program - and here he is last Saturday morning!... A milestone for us all, (Ben & Emily)

21.01.2022 All lessons & squads still on today! Just scattered showers.

21.01.2022 Last Thursday we were lucky enough to have visit from the new Australian head coach, Rohan Taylor. He was inspirational for our young swimmers, sharing stories of ex Olympians he's coached and focus points to building a good foundation for our up and coming swimmers and coaches. Thanks Rohan for a great afternoon.

17.01.2022 * Thank You Hannah * One of our most loved & longest serving staff members has finally finished her last week of teaching and will be flying the Element Swimming nest. Since commencing with us in 2016, Hannah has become one of our most experienced (and often most requested) swimming instructors. Those who know Hannah will agree that she is possibly the most friendliest and loveliest person you will ever meet and this attitude has always transferred to her lessons and love of... teaching children. Recently Hannah has been juggling her nursing career while also committing to a couple of shifts per week with us, but we have always known this day would come. We can't thank Hannah enough for the time, patience and creative influence she has had on our swimming program and with our students. We wish her all the best with her future endeavours & it goes without saying that Hannah will be sorely missed by all. - Ben & Emily (We secretly hope she may join Norah as part of our "super-sub" team..)

15.01.2022 A great day of racing for our juniors at a local club meet, picking up many medals and registering just as many PB's. A very well done to Slater Boyett swimming in his first meet, finishing with 4 medals and all PBs. Our seniors weren't as lucky only getting a couple of races in before it was called off due to a thunderstorm. Well done team and well done to our committed coaches Nick, Jack and Alex.

15.01.2022 Nationals here we come!!! Tahlia Hanson achieves her first ever national time. Tahlia had a spring in her step after joining Saxon in our first ever national team. It was a credit to all her hard work and dedication over the last 12 months, when she decided to take her training to the next level. ... Tahlia achieved the girls 14 years 400 IM national time by swimming 5.23.8. - half a second under the qualifying time. Congratulations to Tahlia and Saxon, their parents and support crew, their team mates and team of dedicated coaches - Jack, Nick and Alex. A fantastic team effort! Team Element achievement - The Element Swimming club has only been operating for a little over 2 and half years. Saxon and Tahlia were our first Gold Sqaud members and now just 2 years on our first National swimmers. It makes both myself and Emily very proud to see such amazing results from our program in such a short period of time. This is a credit to the whole Element Swimming team of staff (past and present), the amazing parent group around us, the schools, the local community and of course our dedicated swimmers who wear the Element name so proudly. Well done all, Ben

11.01.2022 We recently received some lovely feedback from a parent from Marshall Road School. It makes all the hard work worthwhile & we are so proud of all our teachers & coaches "I wanted to say a big thank you to coach Nick, he does such a great job with the kids. They have both come so far since training with Nick at Element, they just love squad and going to training. Please let him know how much I appreciate all the work he puts in to not just my kids but all the kids. Marshall Marlins has improved a 1000% since Element came on board."
