25.01.2022 Petitions are powerful. This one contained 11,000 signatures, representing a significant proportion of SA's population at the time. This petition also gave strength to the bill that ultimately gave women in South Australia the right to vote AND stand in parliament. This year we celebrate and remember that 125 years ago this bill was passed, called "The Women's' Suffrage Bill". Click through to see if your ancestor signed it!... #suffrage #125years #progress

25.01.2022 CAMPBELLTOWN DECLARES CLIMATE EMERGENCY Im so proud of our team tonight for supporting my motion declaring a climate emergency. We have a lot of work to do but this is our first step. @ Campbelltown City Council (SA) Luci Blackborough - Councillor for Hectorville, City of Campbelltown

25.01.2022 Anthony and Elena, parents and professionals, lead busy and demanding lives. Time out in The Secret Playground recharges them and gives their 3 boys the chance to run around in the sunshine. Safe and inclusive public spaces are important because they * improve our physical and mental heath * act as meeting places for friends and family * promote social cohesion... * manage storm water * maintain a healthy environment Voting for Elena means a vote for improving our public spaces #council #elections #elfornewton Authorised by Elena Casciano PO Newton SA 5074

14.01.2022 Good news for electric car drivers in Campbelltown! Last night we passed a motion to take the next steps to investigate installing electric vehicle charging stations in strategic locations in our council area. Were now closer to eliminating our reliance on petroleum and creating a chain of transportation thats not reliant on destroying our earth. Imagine a world where our energy needs are sourced from renewable sources that then power our transportation!... Im proud to be part of a council who is making progress towards more sustainable living and supports the needs of both the residents in the area and visitors who enjoy what we have to offer. #environmentfirst

14.01.2022 Congratulations to Gina and Johnny on their grand opening of One Kouzina on Glynburn Road, Hectorville. 13.01.2022 Lochend holds such historical significance for Campbelltown. The original home of Charles Campbell hosts visitors for Devonshire tea (run by volunteers of the Campbelltown Historical Society) every 1st Sunday of an even month. Henry and I had a cup of tea, scone and enjoyed learned some of the historical aspects of our city. Henry was most amazed by the cellar, featuring a recreation of a cool room (replaced by a modern day fridge). Written and authorised by Elena Casciano PO 3102 Newton SA 5074

04.01.2022 One of the perks of managing a digital company is that Im lucky enough to work anywhere. This week I chose to self isolate to protect others and my vulnerable family members. Today, in my lunch break, I went for a run at Thorndon Park to sneak in some fitness before the 2020 rugby season with Adelaide University Rugby Union Football Club. No one will care if I go back to my desk all stinky, right?? Except maybe my Do whats right for you. Self isolation can protect your community during this time.

02.01.2022 Cleaning out my garage this my summer break feeling dedicated to my commitment to looking after the environment After some research I found the friendly crew at YCA Recycling. They have a process for recycling plastic corflutes into other plastic products. This means that the corflutes I printed will be processed and turned into containers and packaging. I hope that the next election to roll around we might find a more environmentally friendly way to promote our electio...n messages. What do you think the opportunities are for government elections to minimise the waste they produce? #wastematters #environment #campbelltown
