23.01.2022 Having way too much fun getting my step count up for the @10000steps_ #moveagainstcancer central coasts biggest step challenge. I love getting involved in local charities and community events as an individual and in anyway where @elevatedancestudio can help. This wonderful event is organised by the very passionate and active @doctordomore with money raised going towards @cancercouncilnsw For such a great cause, I think I can happily make a goofball of myself...especially when I can combine it with encouraging reading amongst kids for #bookweek I also had fun being creative with this video and dressing up as a mischievous #thing1thing2 running around at school (big step day this one!) #danceteacherlife I’m a dork and proud of it! Always keen to get involved!

22.01.2022 I became very slack during my move with the memories. Now that I’ve settled a bit into a new job, I’ve had a chance to catch myself up. And I’m missing teaching my @elevatedancestudio classes! Throwback to Thursday’s with these two gems! Always had a smile on their faces and loved to try anything I gave them! This was our favourite class for sure, you can’t go wrong with a bit of ABBA!!

20.01.2022 I started my dance studio 3 years ago while I was working and doing uni full time...there were times I was so overwhelmed with it all but I’m glad I did it. There were so many challenges, trying to figure out invoices and all the things that go with running a business I made a lot of mistakes (hate maths and felt exhausted a lot) but made a lot of friends and beautiful memories! I’m so grateful for the experience and proud of myself for finally making that dream happen. I’m taking a break now for the rest of the year to concentrate on work and hopefully graduate uni next year!! 19.01.2022 Life is a balance between rest and movement Seeing as I’m starting from scratch in a new location and 2020 has been...well...we all know it’s been hard. So briefly here’s a little of my story. 2020 began with me teaching full time in a high school in @amazing_forbes_nsw, studying a masters full time and trying to run this business alone. Guess which I loved the most...this! Then...that c thing struck! ... I had to close (as we know we all did) and continued to do my school work from home. Uni finished and I felt...empty...sad...lost...bored...unmotivated and not busy From being a constant over busy bee, I went to feeling...lost! Fast forward to June and what do I do in a pandemic...throw in a permanent job to teach Dance in a high school on the coast and love back home to Newcastle! Happy Days! Loving the coast, making new friends...and then...I hurt my knee that wasn’t part of the new plan!! Luckily I’m now near my family and lucky to be home to recover from my operation! I’m not saying that I didn’t love my 9 years in Forbes, I loved my friends, memories, teaching experience and starting my business, however, as humans, we are constantly moving through and towards change. This change has made me happy and I’m growing and learning who I am and what I want this studio to offer. For now however, my balance is focusing on rest and recovery in order to move towards better future movement! The other plus side is, this down time gives me planning time for goals and dreams like what I hope to offer with @elevate.dance.studio next year! What have I learnt you say if you read all of that... 13.01.2022 You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet lately and that I also don’t talk too much on my posts so this was difficult to film! An exciting opportunity has come up for me to work in a school teaching dance and be home near my family again! It is always hard to say goodbye but I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me with Elevate Dance Studio. ... My dream came true in starting a dance studio and it allowed me to meet, work with and teach some beautiful people. Thank you to my amazing clients, local businesses, Forbes Business Chamber, friends and family for this wonderful experience and your kindness in supporting my dream. I will always remember my time in Forbes fondly and hope to stay in touch! Keep smiling, keep active and above all be happy and healthy! My very best wishes and love to all, now and always.

06.01.2022 Not to play favourites butttttt Dance fitness was probably my favourite class this year! This class was designed for mixed ages and abilities. I wanted to have a fun class for adults, where life can happen! We all get busy, work, families, unknowns, sometimes you just can’t commit to every week. These ladies came when they could, some every week, some had danced as kids, some never, some wanted fitness, others fun and friendship! Each week we tried different dance styles an...d I incorporated fitness exercises and activities, we worked on mini routines and had lots of fun learning and laughing!
