23.01.2022 From the bottom of my heart, Thankyou! To all of my beautiful clients, esp to those who have waited a year and a half to see me after maternity leave. To my parents who have always believed in my god given talents and for paving the way for me.... To my friends who have always encouraged and complimented my designs, giving me that spring in my step to keep doing what I love. To my hubby and bubbys for getting out of the house so I could knuckle down on work (working from home can be challenging when your boys want to play keys on your keyboard). Finally to God for blessing my new business!! I have some veryyyyy exciting projects booked in for the first half of next year so its going to be chokas but I plan to fill up on all things Christmas to sustain me through 2020!! 21.01.2022 I am so excited to introduce Nick as my first employee! Yep, thats right... I am stepping up in this big world and the "I" is now a "We". For the past year or so I have managed to plod along, having that working mum life balance... but lately (and thank you Covid) the scales have been slightly dipping to the ..."OK lets get me some more man power" end.... Queue Nick.... Nick has actually been in the picture for quite some time, helping me perfect my drafting skills to the highest standards I have known. He has such a passion for Revit, so as Paiano Design was quickly gaining momentum it was a no brainer to have him on board. Employees can be so valuable to a small business and having Nick allows me to have that little bit more time with my boys, and that is priceless. Nick studied at the well known Billy Blue college and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Interior Design (commercial). Whilst studying, he quickly gravitated towards the drafting program, Revit, picking it up so quickly that he started tutoring his fellow classmates. After graduating he started work at the highly esteemed commercial design firm, Bates Smart in Surry Hills where he generated spacial plans and floor plans for large scale fit outs. After his time at Bates Smart he moved to a joinery company known as Architectural Designer Products where he is still currently work as a Nesting Processor. To balance out his intense hours in front of a computer screen (he also enjoys a good video game or two )he loves hiking, fishing and camping. Welcome Nick!!

Running a small business means that you feel every bump and high this crazy industry has to throw at you. It is time spent away from my family, house work, cooking and catching up with friends. ... It is my husband working weekends and looking after the boys through the week. It makes it all worth while knowing my client walks through their newly renovated space and smiles. 10.01.2022 What is your day looking like? Home? Perhaps ...home? Or if youre lucky ...working from home? I have been one of the many of us that have had to re-structure my way of life as a working mum. ... The boys were taken out of school probably a month ago as I couldnt take any risks with Luciens chronic asthma. So those 3 days when they were at school means I now have to juggle working from home whilst they are here! That isnt easy! As you all know. I joked the other day about locking myself in my room but that is seriously what I have to do to get work done...and offcourse that only works while Raj is home. I have set up a half decent office space within my room and I am actually loving it, as it is bathed in light. I can sometimes hear the distant whispers of crying children being looked after by their daddy as I slowly turn up my Spotify. Its quite peaceful really. Hang in there guys!! Together with the team at @q.b.a.p We were able to deliver a bathroom with ample storage built into the mirror shaving wall cavity, a double shower and the aquired feeling of space by keeping the floor clear of clutter. 05.01.2022 I am obsessed with earthy textures. If I can feel something without touching it, it has done the job for me! These walls are what you call "Rammed Earth", a surface made by compacting a mixture of sand, gravel, clay, earth, etc between formwork. It is non-toxic, non-polluting and breathes. It has excellent thermal mass, is super durable and low maintenance...sounds like a winner right?!...
