23.01.2022 How cool watching this awesome chinaman reefie smash the Rampage popper up on the reef flats. I truly love using these little poppers as they are so easy to use and create such comotion.....in this case I had been stickbaiting for a while and then changed to the popper and first cast was crunched.....a good rule to always remember to change it up to see whats getting the bite....an hour later and it all changed again.

20.01.2022 Thoughts??? So last week I fished a relatively shallow mark off shore mainly targeting fingermark on jig and in the process hooked this bi-catch Jew. The depth was quite shallow but unfortunately this fish was as good as dead when it hit the deck, even after long efforts to revive it. Love them or hate them they are still an amazing sportfish especially on artificial's and to many fishos are 'great on the chew' in the smaller models. Now because of the no-take law for Jew atm... we had to let this fish just drift away as a peace rubbish that's no longer needed. Felt really shit and its not a pleasant thing to do but also not uncommon scenario for me and many others. What to do.....move to new location, tick. Target different species with different methods, tick. Try my best not to catch them, tick. Try everything to get them back in the water, tick. See more

Come home with some great nannys, red throats, trouts etc and Timbos new PB 12kg Red Emp (weighed) and released strong to fight another day. 07.01.2022 With fin closure on I thought it was a great chance to target the highly sort after but sometimes allusive Fingermark with jigs....to say we had success was an understatement. We had found gold in 2 locations and I was lucky enough to get my new PB on jig going 81cm. After 4 drifts I hooked up 4 cracking fish and then pulled the pin as we had a great feed between 4 lads and there is way too much respect for these amazing slow growing fish and as we all know they don't release well. Congrats also to Kiel Hunt on a cracking 78cm on jig. They sure pull some string and the new Synotek RAZORBACK was absolutely on fire. Go the Synos.
