19.01.2022 Starting Monday the 12th April there will be changes to our timetable with additional open mat sessions. Combudo MMA classes will move from Saturday afternoons ...to Sunday Mornings and will operate as a open mat session with Dean 9am to 10am. Bernie will open the gym Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning for open mat sessions. He will also be available for private lessons on those same days. Regular 12 month members will not pay for the additional sessions. There will be morning sessions only memberships available at $55 per fortnight for those who can't train evenings. 12.01.2022 Important Elite Health & Safety Notice in relation to the COVID 19 Pandemic. There are a number of things you can do to protect yourself and others when you’re back in the Team Elite Gym. The obvious top three are not going to the gym if you’re unwell (any cold or flu like symptoms), hand hygiene and maintaining sufficient distance from others. We will check your temperature on arrival. If your temp is 38 or over you will be asked to leave and have a Covid 19 test. You will... be required to wear a mask. Under 12's don't have to but we recommend that they do if possible. Please bring your running shoes and a hat , because weather permitting we may use the car park if we have large numbers. wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when you enter and leave the gym. General hygiene is very important, hair, hands, fingers/feet must be clean & nails short We have allocated an entry and exit, please leave and depart as directed Keep social distance on entry, and only train with allocated partners. Face masks are optional at the moment Arrive with footwear on, if you come off the street in bare feet that can spread infection and you will not be permitted to enter. Remove outside shoes at the edge of the mat and before you step on it Boxers must bring their boots in with them. Arrive from the street in your boxing boots and you will be asked to remove them Clean equipment before and after you use it. Wash or sanitize your hands after you’ve cleaned the equipment (we will help by making sure cleaning materials and hand sanitizer are readily available) You must bring your own gloves, sparring equipment and skipping ropes as these items will no longer be provided. Use disinfectant on your own equipment after use. Do not share equipment. Avoid touching your face or mouth during your workout Increase the space between yourself and others groups to avoid accidentally getting closer while you exercise, especially during classes where your contact time with others may be longer Train with the same partners throughout the session, we will put you in family or member groups to avoid unnecessary contact. Bring your own water bottle, as we have removed our fountains and refilling water station Change and shower at home if possible, but still bring a towel to wipe away excess sweat. If you sweat excessively bring a change of shirt. You will not be permitted to train bare top. Go to the gym during off-peak or quieter times where possible. At present, community transmission in Queensland is low. But everyone has a role to play in Team Elite at keeping numbers low, particularly as we start returning to normal. Taking these measures will help reduce the risk as much as possible, and hopefully ensure ours and other gyms, and the rest of society, can remain open. Your support is greatly appreciated.
